  1. I'm glad someone else agrees. I worked with a woman who was trekking in Transylvania for 'charity'. The cost of the 'charity' walk was £1500, which she had to raise and then she raised another £500 on top. Don't get me wrong, raining that kind of money is impressive, but being the miserable twat I am I refused to giver her any money for her holiday. I suggested that if she were really raining the money for a certain charity, she should have just given them the whole lot.
  2. Never has a place name sounded more 'Yorkshire'!
  3. Sounds like you're letting others influence your decision. Although, and myself included in this thread, it's easy to make decisions for other people when it's not you that's under any pressure.
  4. Sorry Rince but I've not been paying attention as much as I should. How are you only on the letter W after watching 33 films?
  5. There's probably so much that we don't know about cleaning toilets, don't overlook that!
  6. A few things: 1. 6k isn't that far off what you'd be getting from your redundancy after only one year. 2. If another job doesn't materialise soon after your redundancy, you'll spend the lot on living costs 3. Travelling an additional 50 miles every day until you're made redundant is more money wasted, not to mention time. What is it 45-60 minutes per trip? Technically, you'll also be working less for more money. If offered the job, I'd take it. Yes, you can hold out for your 8k but you'll then be out of a job - unless you're confident that you'll find work almost immediately. The job seems like too good an opportunity to turn down to me. Those advising you to hang on are just greedy and not looking at the bigger picture.
  7. Was there? Some people have really important things to do at 10pm on a Tuesday night. Don't be too hard on them.
  8. You overthink what is a relatively simple story, Rincey. The whole thing has more holes than your typical walker. I'd have moved to some kind of peninsular where it's easier to defend. Didn't any of them do history at school?
  9. Anyone got a link for a decent build? I had Wookie before but nothing works. Everything's out of date
  10. It's great to see the flags across the back. Gives it a Euro club look to it. Well done to all those that have contributed. One question though, I remember reading on here about security being fussy about fire certificates, have they relaxed on that front now?
  11. He has two! 04/05 and 05/06
  12. If you knew that using the work **** autocorrected to 'fudge', as an adult, would you still use it as often as they do? Leaving it out altogether has more of an effect that replacing it with 'fudge'!
  13. And a Lineker one.
  14. I struggled like **** to get my Tesco chicken and bacon wrap out of the box. They were packed in too tight. Ripped the box open in a rage in the end!
  15. Roberto's pizza is still going? They really were top drawer when I lived in Syston in the late 90s
  16. I've watched the first 6 and I'm undecided about it. The problem is that after 6 episodes, I feel obliged to carry on. It's not that I don't like it, i do. It's just getting a little repetitive.
  17. It's called 'keeping up appearances'
  18. The one with the baby at the front door has done me
  19. I can't believe: a. This is still in the news b. they're not in jail
  20. And those that say 'like'. "I was, like, listening to this song..." - were you listening to it or merely doing something similar to listening to it?
  21. Newcastle and their 'best fans in the country' can still **** off.
  22. That's it, Maggie. Very nice
  23. I thought Bob Monkhouse was dead!
  24. Has the TV show finally caught up with the books then?
