Surely if we have an option to buy then its completley in our own hands whether we sign him or not? Id of thought the permanent transfer part is already written into that deal so Jordan James has no choice anyway? Even if we got relegated you would sign him for the 5 million as you would make a quick profit on him by selling straight away to another club

I agree 100 percent. Maybe clubs knowing we are in big trouble with FFP who use that to play hard ball on deals. Knowing full well that we will have to compromise -

They are still bound by FFP hence why the richest club in the World Newcastle arent dominating the league. Livramento would of been on low wages at Southampton. Maddison deal was supposedly cheaper so that we would get Winks in return for less. The wages players are on at this club definitely hurt us when it comes to transfer fees. -
100 percent. Dont believe for one minute we would of gone down with him still in goal. More so for his influence then his actual goal keeping ability. At the time it seemed like the right time for a change. Looking back it definetley was a mistake

We wouldnt be challenging with the defence that we have. Clean sheets are the basis of any successful team

The problem is the wages our players are on. Maddison and Barnes would of been on close to 200k a week between them. Id be amazed if that Fernandes and Dibling were on more then 40 at Southampton. Higher wages obviously impacts the fee a club is willing to pay as it affects the overall cost of the deal. Plus Barnes and Maddison only had a year or two left on their contract. I think Fernandes had 4 years left on his contract. Our number one priority over the next few seasons should be to get the wage bill right down to a normal and sustainable level for a club with our turnover. -

They also say the fee will rise on top of that with bonuses. At the time it was reported by most reliable sources to be 25mil euros including loan fee. So bonuses likely to be in that 25 mil as well.. with a sell on clause on top of that -

The fact people believe Sports Witness as a reliable source is hilarious. Wasnt it widely reported last summer the deal was worth 25 million euros? At the bare minimum we will have broken even -
Reminds me of Iheanacho. Used to infuriate me how deep he would drop. Whenever we broke there was no one in the middle to get on the end of crosses

Anyone else think Trump started this war so he can promote the Venezuelan oil hes stealing? Make prices sky high by stopping shipping routes in the middle east then get the world relying on oil they are trying to flog?

Some players perform better in different environments. Maybe he didnt settle in France? -
I mean, they have probably the best academy in England and have done for 10 plus years. Could be worse obsessions like Southampton.. Think its safe to say this bloke was a panic signing though

Lascelles as club captain and Jordan James vice
-
I’d generally have Jordan James as the captain. I dont care if hes on loan, hes the one who sets the standard every game he plays. Lascelles if he ever stays fit

Wait until the end of the season and decide. But what i do want regardless if its Rowett or not is the manager being appointed early in the summer. The last two seasons we have appointed a manager when most clubs have already started signing players. We have been underprepared and probably lost out on numerous realistic players to other clubs because of this. When Pearson was here the majority of business was done before pre season and look how well run we were then. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. Give the new guy plenty of time to access the squad and choose who he wants in. Its especially important we do this this summer with the sheer amount of players that are going to be needed to replace the ones out of contract.

Thats fine. Aslong as theres no toxicity that spills into the stand. Get behind the boys -

Carry the positive momentum from tonight in to QPR. I want Rudkin and Top gone as much as the next man but i want to avoid relegation this year more then anything. Aslong as theres no toxicity brought into the ground from this then crack on. Back the boys from the stands, if we go 1-0 down then no boos and ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ shite. -
Clear from the Enzo days his best position nowadays is CM. Hes not mobile enough to play as full back anymore
-
Who would you have brought in? Baring in mind we cant buy a manager out from another club as we dont have a pot to piss in. Most managers worth their salt wouldnt come to a club in the position we are. Who are some realistic managers we missed out on?
-
Hopefully sell him for a fee in the summer. Whole point of the academy if they arent good enough for the first team

Asmir Begovic - Officially Signs
South Shire Fox replied to ozleicester's topic in Leicester City Forum
Whats the issue? Aslong as he isnt missing training when hes fit then what he does in his spare time is irrelevant really? Hes close to retiring and probably going into that field in the future so good for him i say -
Of course, but then you wouldnt move to the Middle east if you were gay though would you? Its a country with Islamic ideology 😂. I imagine the attraction is the day to day life stuff. I.e not having to worry about being stabbed walking down a busy street because someone likes the look of your watch. Not having to look out the window every morning to see whether your car is still on the drive. Not seeing some scruff walk into a shop and just load up their pockets with products before walking out and not paying. No litter on the floor and people having respect for their communities. If someone has done well for themselves and they want to take their family to somewhere that they think offers a better quality of life then its entirely up to them. The UK quality of life has been going down hill rapidly for years.

Not sure id call Rio Ferdinand a ‘right wing grifter’. I think if you asked anyone in the world before last week then the majority would say Dubai is a safer and more prosperous place then the UK
