    Barnes

Think there was article on fosse way about Barnes which summarised it quite well; we let Barnes down not the other way round. He always did end of bargain, played like a player who should play for team that finished 8th. Had moments when unplayable and then some more crap moments. But always played like he wanted to be here, didn’t kick up fuss and content playing for Leicester. In modern era very rare have player very happy to just continue playing for his club, it’s quite sweet really. Clearly loved playing for Leicester and living in the county. Was perfect player for us for next 5 years in prem especially with increased economic dominance of big 7. Perhaps lack of ambition will hold him back, but was suited to us. Will always be very fond of Harvey, was my favourite player in this current crop. And surely we can all agree of players who could move to European sides he handled himself the best by country mile
  3. Think we should be grateful to Stowell. Beyond being loyal servant to club who has been here for as long as I’ve remember following the club, acted as bridge for every new manager from Sousa. We all talk about Leicester losing identity we had, think wrong to nor acknowledge role Stowell had in our achievements. Probably time to move on, but deserves massive plaudits from all of us Bloke is not Rudkin who has been complete cretin whole time he’s been at the club and he should be ****ed off
  4. Use your eyes, Iversen’s performance against Everton was top class. Steffen’s save % in a league below with team who dominated possession, like comparing apples and pears Comapre PNE fans on Iversen compared to Boro fans on Steffen
  5. Just nonsense stuff about Iversen. The Everton game was superb, he made 3 unreal saves. Was as good a game as Kasper ever had for us in a very important game Having watched a keeper who doesn’t make saves why anyone thinks we should pay £8m for a top clubs 3rd choice keeper who doesn’t make saves is mad Happy to be proven wrong, but very pessimistic about this. Look at Bazanu at Southampton as well
  6. very good glad to see boohoo stuff referenced Think systematic of the disconnect with fans, star player signs massive brand deal with company using sweat shops in the city. Emblematic of contempt players often showed this city. Fact we were last city in lockdown and no sense of us against them mentality in first year we bottled top 4 was telling. Leicester under Rodgers became despite our success a very anonymous premier league club, very little distinct about us where players can just turn up have a nice time and move on
  7. Not sure about this Iversen revisionism. He won us points as a keeper and was capable of doing that. Ward wasn’t capable, doesn’t like Steffen is either but he can kick a ball straight I don’t like the direction of travel of club atm, all the signings stink of repeated errors. Think we are a soft fan base as no way Rudkin survived at any other prem club for the footballing crimes we have committed
  8. Seems weird move to me, looks on paper quite similar to signing Ward Iversen impressed me tbh and can o my get better with feet
  9. Not that great a player for club honestly. N’Didi and Tielemans will leave at troughs in their careers for Leicester but far superior legacy at the club. His list of misdemeanours is astonishingly long: Lockdown Party which means we lose against West Ham and maybe on champions league football The Bournemouth back pass Taking the pen against Everton despite never been a decent penalty taker for the club. It wasn’t the miss itself rather the billy big bollocks attitude about it That tweet The Boohoo deal when playing for Leicester City given their treatment of factory workers Should also be noted was never that good when we were challenging the top of the league. His best seasons for us were when the rest of the team were rubbish Also had naff all to do with FA Cup final win Also is a cov fan from Coventry
  10. I saw 5 goals in 8 league starts
  11. Think it stinks of same errors that got us Bertrand, vestergaard and perez
  12. Having seen how Maddison plays when the clubs future really matters, compared to King. If Maddison played against West Ham in 2015 he misses the open goal and we don’t do what we did after Maddison has the mental strength of a 99 ice cream in 40 degree heat
  13. Callum Wright appears to have a good run at Plymouth last year, will no doubt score winner against us this season See you soon
  14. he scored more non penalty goals than saka last year, he's on a fine path we are the ones who are shite if he goes to another team and they add another string to his bow other than the 1-2 pass; he is a 18-20 goal a season winger in the prem
  15. Appointment stinks of just looking at City, Burnley and Arsenal; and going it has worked for all of them Will get 3 players from city on loan this year if it happens. Just strikes me of following football consensus cos it’s worked for other teams
  16. It’s really not, the consensus that the club should try and play a possession style game is part of the problem. How we ended up with slow laborious safe passing under Brendan and will happen again Reason why Brentford did so well. We cannot compete trying to play same game as the big 6. Might be fine in the championship but would love us to try and be Leicester again, as opposed to being a mini Man City Which is all I see happening by appointing city’s assistant (looking at Arteta)
  17. Really think poor appointment. Club has lost identity and keep moving towards this possession style of play that saw us completely lose the club we have always followed. Would have been much happier with Michael Duff or Richie Wellens. Think people running the club are totally out of touch with what sort of club we are
  18. Embarrassing we refused to drop a player who will be on Villa’s bench next year because he was too good for us Should have played KDH + Mendy from the start
  19. Non big 6 clubs are like F1 teams outside of Merc, Ferrari and Red Bull One good season no indication of the following (although Villa do look quite good atm especially if they get Barnes as well)
  20. Difficult to not be absolutely fuming with him. Want to say ruined legacy but FA cup was special
  21. The names we are linked to in that Percy article are astonishing. Club needs burning down if we get any of those. Need a strong manager to challenge the incompetence not yes men
  22. If no one else sees Rodgers in McKenna they have recovered better than me Bloke from Northern Ireland with no experience playing at highest level and been coach since he was about 12
  23. Agree rudkin needs to go. But owners are not managers, idea of top going terrifies me in terms of who would come in. Top is making poor decisions but he’s treated the club properly and with respect generally, think most owners not the same
  24. 2019 he was best rb in the world, he was our best player when were virtually top of the league that team came unstuck after his Acl injury we used to pass him the ball at right back as our creative spark and he had one of best tackle and interception stats in the league think was the best player relative to other players in his position I have seen at the club
  25. Not if he ends up at villa
