Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread

Fairer play if he didn’t do what he did against Bournemouth and Everton -
We got a version of this for current fixtures?

Stringer Court unfair dismissal case vs BBC ends
eblair replied to Kilworthfox's topic in General Chat
I get that but Lineker is best paid person at the beeb. He can get jobs with walkers partially through his role at the bbc The not declaring stuff is daft from Stringer -
Stringer Court unfair dismissal case vs BBC ends
eblair replied to Kilworthfox's topic in General Chat
Not a go at Lineker at all. But does seem massively unfair a multi millionaire can have several commercial relations and be face of a private company; whilst working for the BBC. Yet a relatively small time journo gets the boot for much smaller arrangements. I understand it’s contractually the case, but does feel very unfair to me as a lay person -
Only just realised he was not an academy player. Kept asking people round me who the **** is he, looks like fattest academy player I’ve ever seen

What Will You Miss From The Championship?
eblair replied to Skidmark's topic in Leicester City Forum
I’ll miss the other teams. Remember missing playing the big teams during our long exile. Now have no desire to watch us against City & Arsenal Really appreciate the fans and clubs we have played against this year. Feels far more like football I fell in love with. Where clubs exist for themselves and their fan bases. I’ve really enjoyed being in the championship bubble, talking with mates of other EFL teams. None of the wider media scrutiny and nonsense. Even Sky pundits are far more level headed and normal. Give me Jobi McAnuff over the rubbish we’ll have to endure next year -
He was the difference this year. Swap him for Bazanu; and we swap places with Southampton Think he’s my player of the season
-
How many teams have won more title than us in the last 16 years?
-
Very different era. Mahrez went on strike but no transfer request. Transfer requests seem an honest thing to do tbh
-
I love Pearson to pieces. Listening to podcast and love how he doesn’t parade about his own successes. So genuinely humble to his detriment, can claim so much of our success and doesn’t really do that Very different to a certain Irishman
-
Also the fact he squares it to Abdul epitomises why we live him so much

Best goal per minute record in the league?
-
I LOVE COUNTER ATTACK FOOTBALL
-
Alarming how safe on the ball he is atm. Virtually every pass sideways or backwards. Also not great to read first thing he does after games is check his pass completion. Still think as a screen he’s doing a good job and he’s very honest player. Just need him to back himself a lot more. No coincidence him being crap has meant we look crap

‘For all the talk of change of culture and mentality under Arteta. The cold hard facts read that Arsenal have spent over £650m in his tenure, and have not won any of the major trophies more recently than Leicester City.’ Even as a complete mess we are funny
-
That team wasn’t best paid in league, with embarrassing resources compared to others.
-
Last sentence true with massive caveat. Pearson found Vardy and Mahrez from relative obscurity and transformed them into players. We did not have best paid squad in league by a mile. Against Millwall we had 9 full internationals on the pitch. It is just embarrassing our resources now compared to other clubs
-
Sympathy for him today. Ridiculous system we play means wingers have to beat their men even when double up. Yunus not going to do this so everything went through Mavididi. Stupid not playing Abdul, who is our only best player one on one stationary. Really all comes back to dire way we play football. Pass, pass, pass, get winger one on one and hope he creates magic. Always played to feet We’re top the league virtue to fact we are likely paying salaries akin to a top 10 PL team.
-
Fullbacks are a thing of pre-enlightened football We are out the cave now, don’t hark back to the days of fullbacks
-
Looked like that without him today. Awful decision to drop
-
All forgiven for yesterday. But let’s not do that ever again Mads Never in my life seen a team concede a goal from their own goal kick
-
I wouldn’t have had TAA ahead of him at the time. Was our best player and we were 2nd or 3rd I think. Think probably as devastating as the Fofana injury. Without it, probs champions league and likely a c. £70m sale
