  1. Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005. They destroyed settlements and forcibly removed Jews. Gaza elected Hamas a year later. I think nearly everyone would agree the withdrawal from Gaza has been a disaster for everyone. Gazan lives are immeasurably worse, Israelis are no safer. I cannot see any solution in medium term which is mildly optimistic. Whole thing is beyond depressing.
  2. Gaza is an open air prison, but there are two nations which ensure that is the case (Egypt as well)
  3. Shithousing EVERY goal he scored suggests he might to me
  4. Ben Foster podcast with Tom Cleverley 11 minutes in waxing lyrical about Pearson Both say he was second to Ferguson in terms of aura he commanded at club he was at. Biggest injustice in football is some see him as only a top championship manager. The clowns at 2nd tier podcast had him 23rd best manager in the league ffs. What he did for our club is one of the greatest managerial achievements this century. It’s incomprensible how impressive it was
  5. Statistically he’s been amazing. But if you watch the games he can look complete pony, the first touch and right foot is an eye sore Had really good start but still has glaring problems in his game. I think we should be comparing our players to prem standards
  6. Tom Cairney was dynamite in this division wasn’t he 👀
  7. Souttar and Coady both still here. Faes could play on left. Think idea we needed specific cover for exact player profile of Doyle is overstated.
  8. Watching Villa this year, makes me think most unforgivable decision Rodgers made was making Tielemans our captain and playing him every week. Yes Ward and Amartey were car crashes But treating Youri like he was god when he had declared his desire to leave and refused to sign a contract is insane. It’s even more insane when you see he’s not good enough to start for Villa cos he’s slow and lazy. Rodgers legacy at the club is so atrocious I can’t describe it to non-Leicester fans. Worst state the club has been left in since Sven
  9. Not sure getting battered every week worst thing for a youth team. Should be about preparing players for first team not results. However, does look pretty bleak and not many prospects atm. Relative to our catchment area think our hit rate from the academy is pretty poor tbh
  10. Just to go against grain. We signed him to be a premier league defender and he was poor at that job. Found his level in championship in team dominating. If we were to go up, he’d struggle in the prem playing the way we do. All those crap finishes in the championship would be goals in the prem
  11. I said this after one of West Brom pictures. Fans enjoy the shit housing, like ticking off seeing an outfielder going in goal. It’s a hallmark
  12. I agree with second para completely. But think that’s what is so unique about what Pearson did with us and why it won’t happen again. The job of being a manger is increasingly just being picking eleven players to play in a system. He built the club. Bar the Director of Football job, he nurtured every department at the football club. He bought in Walsh / Shakey. Remember Rennie saying never had manager respect and listen to him as much as NP (there’s a reason he’s at Bristol City now) I think he was aware of his strengths and weaknesses as well; and knew as a club we were the sum of our parts. Think part of the reason he didn’t get bigger job after us was his reluctance to claim the glory of what he built. I don’t think we would have won the league under Pearson in 2016. I’m fairly confident we would’ve challenged for Europe though. Most of the players are still fairly convinced Ranieri’s best move was changing very little. Idea we can claim he’s never proved himself as anything but a Championship manager is silly imo. I don’t think any other manager since Clough could claim to have built the English league champions from a second tier side. It was his side, majority of his back room staff, and his mentality that was at core of 2016. At 60 years old perhaps having him back is a bit silly. But if we gave him time and backing to build the club up, I can’t see the fans wouldn’t buy into it based on his history. At Bristol City the first place (ignoring Leuven) where he’s been given chance to transform a club, things look fairly positive
  13. it’s the other stuff with Pearson that made him so much more to so many of us Rodgers was a boring bloke, despite him being manager for over 3 years I couldn’t tell you anything interesting about him. Pearson was genuinely engaging and you understood why the players loved him. Football wasn’t the be all and end all for him, and think that made him a better manager. Remember Radio Leicester interview when they asked Brenda for his favourite book and it was a management / leadership book Pearson’s man management was exceptional. Just loved the bloke as our manager. Think it’s really hard to convert to non-Leicester fans of that period why it was so special, but as the years go on I’m more convinced we’ll never experience anything like it again
  14. First time I’ve completely disagreed with some of what you’ve said on the podcast. Pearson is king, genuinely the transformation of the club he performed is Ferguson-esque Idea anyone can dismiss Pearson as a championship standard manager when he transformed everything about the club into an elite club is absurd. I like Enzo and thinks he’s great. But I don’t even think it’s possible for him to come close to why Pearson did for the club, it’s just not achievable. I know last year felt a low ebb, but 2005-2008 was the pits and the mess after Sven…. I’m completely rambling but basically you’ve got me rattled like a podcast calling Conor Coady the worst championship signing
  15. Thought was okay, ref did him no favours. Does look more of an 8 than a winger
  16. Was real bad yesterday. Gonna blame the weather and say he's not used to that sort of rain. Will be different player on a clear day / night
  17. Hamza without VAR is a different threat In all seriousness I like him but not sure he is good enough to play the inverted right back role
  18. Ref been atrocious. Am I making up he’s always hated us
  19. Topic second paragraph- ‘don’t take it too seriously’ Scroll down to bottom of page and a character assassination have taken place. This is very OTT and just not very nice is it
  20. Sometimes maybe shit, sometimes maybe good Played some outrageous passes yesterday, one to Mavididi which he didn’t square outrageous. Then looked like an elephant sometimes with his touch. Brings too much to side to drop, but needs to improve his game a lot. (not really sure how our academy has let a kid become so one footed)
  21. Mavididi not squaring it has only reminded me how lucky we were to have a player like Vardy play for us (no dig against Mavididi) A genuinely world class player, who cared more about team than personal stats (dig intended against Harry Kane) If this is last year, let’s all appreciative it. Would rather watch Vardy smiling having fun in the champisonship for us, than having to endure the mercenary bastards play under Brenda for another year in the prem 👑
  22. Very endearing player. Runs himself into the ground and plays like he needs to earn his place Really like him, think what he might lack in quality he makes up in endeavour. As others said could be our new Albrighton
  23. Vardy squares that ball all day long. Remember Tielemans first goal for us?
  24. He’s fun. But how he thinks he has the stature of goodwill to not pass the ball to Vardy is criminal, then to do it again 5 mins later Vardy our greatest ever passes the ball for a tap in all day long. Needs to understand it’s about the team winning not him
  25. and did that luck coincide with Nigel Pearson / his team being at the helm of the club
