  1. I've seen them 6 times (I think) now and my expectations only ever ratchet upwards! In all seriousness though, I bloody love them. They are about the only band I've ever seen where I would cheerily invite someone along that wasn't familiar with them with a reasonably high expectation they'd enjoy themselves. Are you coming next time?
  2. Satisfaction pretty much GUARANTEED
  3. It's not even all original. If it was, I shudder to think how much it would be
  4. There's no rhyme nor reason for it but I think this is the longest one has ever taken me. Proper stumped at the end Wordle 1,382 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜🟩⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  5. I wasn't wildly optimistic they'd get anywhere with it, but credit where credit's due. I'd guess the club had underestimated how much ST sharing goes on, because how would they know? The impression I get having spoken to more people since this became an issue is that LOADS of people do it. I know you're not supposed to, but if the extent of it is a shock but it's not been causing a problem it just underlines there's not the need to be that strict about it
  6. I only spotted this today. Having made my peace with giving mine up this does muddy the waters a bit, well done to everyone that put pressure on the club to come up with something a bit more workable. The club might be a bit of a basket case at the minute but to be honest I've always seen your club not being what you want it to be most of the time as just being part of being a supporter

  9. I did over 30,000 steps today and I do feel a bit unusual
  10. In amazing new scenes my eligibility for a courtesy car may be affected as I managed to get the vehicle to the dealership myself, so it was not technically recovered. Agreed with the AA man no point taking it there last night as it would have been all locked up
  11. Dropped knackered car off at dealership, double parked because at 9am there was literally no spaces on the site. Dropped off keys and was quite surprised they didn't ask me what was actually wrong with it
  12. I saw The Darkness on Thursday, which as always makes me want to buy a Les Paul Jordan Guitars in Glenfield have got a 1955 Les Paul Custom, a bargain at 25 grand. I could save a bit of money by walking there to pick it up
  13. Yeah, according to a guy I know who's some sort of motor industry consultant (I'm not sure what he actually does) 12v battery issues account for the majority of EV breakdown call outs. It did it again last night, so assuming it will start this morning I'll be driving it to the dealership where I'll throw the key at them and make it their problem. I'll be given a hire car supposedly, having never had a brand new car before the extra support is a bit of a novelty for me
  14. The Darkness are Britain's greatest band of the last 30 years
  15. My car broke down! Before anyone says, well what do you expect from an EV, the irony of it was it was failure of the 12v battery, likely due to excessive drain from an as yet unidentified source, the exact problem the 14 year old Mazda I traded it in for had. Great news for traditionalists worried about the pace of technological change, the old problems are still there to be enjoyed
  16. My car broke down so that's that one answered
  17. Dunno if this is a good or bad sign of how the rest of today will go Wordle 1,377 2/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  18. Well I asked about that but he said his expertise was limited to matters related to dentistry AS USUAL
  19. Not really but I did feel more valued as a customer
  20. I've just spent the money that normally goes on my share of the ST I'm not renewing on a really painful filling, I'm sure there's some irony in there somewhere

  22. If you look really closely you can see in the monitor the reflection of his eyes lighting up when he realises 'I can make a fuss about this'
  23. Honestly, given how much they've gone on about them over the years with current efforts to destigmatize sex offending I don't know if I'm coming or going!
  24. Similar vibes, @spacemunky Wordle 1,375 5/6 🟨🟨⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
