  1. all he had to do was wait 4 months though and he'd be off anyway. he's behaved like an absolute bell.
  2. Anyone fathom an idea as to why Silva didn't start? What does he have to do ?
  3. The more I see this photo the more I wonder if Nasri just had really bad breath that day. Reminds me of the "gas" scene from Alan Partridge.
  4. <sarcasm> Ah well... always a silver lining - Slim's failed his medical </sarcasm>
  5. If that is their final offer then he's staying until the Summer. Why would we have a player who they don't want, who we haven't scouted? We sign players who we have time to do our homework on and players that will fit in with the club. Besides we've got Gray and Diabate with the latter looking a real prospect and the former definitely room for improvement but a very decent talent. Obviously I'd change my stance if it were someone like KDB but that it will be one of their meh reserve players.
  6. Probably the tea lady who they count as a player.
  7. true they probably couldnt give a shit in reality.
  8. SSN: Leicester players upset (some) with Riyad re timing of this.
  9. I hope vichai offers 20p and a bag of roast beef monster munch for aguero.
  10. He came to training riding on his kamal. Puel wasnt happy and he said sowah.
  11. 55m bid made according to SSN. Rejected.
  12. Not bullshitting at all here but the game before shakespeare got sacked at home... i was exasperated by that point with how we were playing and just said to my dad "hes got to go, give him a couple more games but if no improvement he has to go. Weve got talented players here, why arent we passing the ****ing thing on the floor. We need someone to manage us that passes the ball about on the ground." The next day Shakespeare got sacked. Names were banded about and i was feeling a fair amount of trepidation at the thoughts of pardew etc. All our hard work would be undone and wed slip away into the ether, a shadow of our former glory. For me I was thinking dyche would get the job and I thought he would do well. Then Puel was announced. I didnt really know much about him tbh. Dont really remember him much from his Soton stint but then looked at why he was sacked...a bit of a head scratcher tbh.. i remember watching the league cup final thinking he did well to get them there. And finishing 8th isnt bad for Soton is it? What I did like was how he presented himself in that first radio phone in... well dressed, calm, cautious. Reminded me i didnt want someone to come in and manage our club with a bull in a china shop attitude or some drama queen. We needed a calm, relaxed and intelligent man to see what was going wrong and why and get us playing the football our players are capable of. First game at Everton was where I knew we had got the right man. It was obvious instantly he had already drilled and instilled the mentality and ideology of passing the ball around quickly on the deck. And it was fast, yet dynamic and he was smart enough to understand that whilst we need more possession we have to play to our other strength which is a fast, fluid counter attack and he has taught the players a style of football which is dynamic, exciting and fast paced but football, passing, not hoofing. I must say that his first few interviews i could have dozed off to them but for some reason he doesnt sound as monotone and too softly spoken anymore, or maybe ive got used to it, but i couldnt really care less. Apart from thinking that ive never had a bad word or said anything negative about him hes been an absolute class act for us.
  13. Class player. If Mahrez leaves im more than happy for Diabate to fill the role. Wouldnt mind seeing him in a sprint against vardy. Looks lethal fast. Superb technical ability on the ball. What a signing we may have got here!!
  14. Great day, great win. Dominant. Brilliant team selection. Diabate top top player can tell hes going to be a superstar. Technically superb, ball control, passing, vision, craft, pace. The boy has it all. Rest of the lads put in a good shift. Lets hope for a good draw in the fifth round. Right side outclassed the left side today too
  15. I think the magic is still there. For me it is. Its the second highest acolade in English domestic football. My old man would love to see us winning it after we came so close when he watched us in the sixties etc. Bet theres a fair few who think the same.
  16. 10/10 would read again.
  17. that was lucky - literally bagged the last two together unrestricted view seats available!
  18. Derby when we beat them 4-0 at Pride Park in 98, unfortunately we weren't in the away end, my Dad bagged some tickets in a box through a work mate or something, so we couldn't really go nuts when the goals went in, but i'm sure we must have looked extremely smug as most of the folk around us were derby fans. To cap the day off we were stood outside the ground at the end and my Dad being my Dad thought he'd make a tongue in cheek remark when Emile Heskey came over and stood like an absolute tower right in front of us as it started to rain.... donning huge gold chains around his neck my Dad quipped "Emile, you better get out the rain before your chains go rusty" Emile didn't laugh.
  19. Good shout. I was there, about 13 years old. What a night. They had wooden benches we were jumping up and down on, when Graysons goal went in it was utter pandemonium, thought the benches were gonna break lol.
  20. Hazard's goal against Spurs, it's the first time since supporting Leicester from 1991 that I've cried after a final whistle of a football match. Leicester goals probably Steve Claridge's shin goal at Wembley. Talk about delirium. By the same token Walshy's "silence of the rams header" at Wembley too.. I think for me the occassion makes it extra special, being in a final of anything in a stadium especially for it just creates this ethereal atmosphere. Most recently at the KP it was when Vardy knocked his goal in against Spurs.
