  1. We only got 4 points from those 3 games, Leeds haven't played all three but have 4 points from those 2 with Coventry away on Saturday. Ipswich have the hardest run in playing 4/6 games against top 10 teams.
  2. I think we have to win the next 3, Birmingham, Millwall and Plymouth all in the bottom 6. Maybe West Brom are safe of the play offs by the time we play them, Preston too far away maybe, Southampton out the Automatic picture and Blackburn hopefully safe by the last day of the season.
  3. Ipswich have the best chance of the three of going up in the play offs, if they do miss out there will be less despondency and more rolling the sleeves up and just getting on with those 3 games.
  4. What about the Sunderland game towards end of the season, the Watford 1-0 win, the Southampton 1-0 win towards end of the season. I take your point tho aside from the Norwich game I don't recall us scoring a last minute winner, we were more in control of more games than Ipswich are currently.
  5. It doesn't feel in our hands even though it is, 2 more wins would make 3 on the spin and I think it starts to feel more in our hands again and puts pressure back on the other two again.
  6. I remember feeling utterly deflated when we drew 0-0 to Hul in late March 2014, the fightback started on 1st April that year...
  7. Surely if you are Vardy, you go to Enzo call it straight say this is falling apart but lets turn this around, I will retire you can move on in the summer, make me the captain the rest of the season.
  8. Possession football can work, it isn't just about Possession/ counter attack. We didn't really have a lot of Possession against a nothing to play for Bristol City. We have seen teams be affective with Possession based styles on a budget, Rogers at both Swansea and us for probably 18 months at both, granted he spunked a bit more money for us.
  9. Two top 5 finishes and a FA cup win have surely shown something, that was the time to sell 2021 not 2019, he could of left having proved nearly 2 years of his own regime.
  10. Surely it doesn't add massive value going back to the PL, different where we were before 9 years established, from a buyers point of you, like the current owners did you'd buy in the championship to get a better deal. Newly promoted clubs aren't a sure thing to stay there.
  11. Is it just transfers where money needs to be recouped? I look at those top 6 players £25 mil wages a year of a total £57 million for the squad and I'd argue of those only probably Wilf could make a significant contribution if we are promoted. Get that £25 mil of the books, replace it with £10 mil salaries, you've trimmed the wage bill by 30%, surely that's a factor in FFP?
  12. I don't understand how some don't find it inconceivable that we could finish mid table if promoted. The reason I say that is the gap for me between 11th to the top of the championship isn't as huge as some make out. Leeds 9th 2021 after getting promoted Brentford 13th 2022 9th 2023 Fulham 10th 2023 after getting promoted This and how we slipped from 8th to 18th, shows how it goes both ways if you find the winning formula.
  13. I genuinely think about 5 wins will do it, I think all 4 teams will lose games between now and the end of the season. I could see Southampton losing to Ipswich, us and Leeds which when we already have a 9 point advantage on them, will take the 4 teams to 3. Most I can see any of the 4 teams getting is 18 points more.
  14. If Ipswich beat Southampton on 1st April it really does bring the 4 down to 3
  15. Surely we have done that at least 6-10 times this season, hopefully the presence of Vardy and Coady can keep us driving forwards. I do think the 2nd half of ET against Bournemouth was well managed.
  16. Liverpool a few seasons back, pulled it back at our expense for a CL place, they went on a 5 game streak without a win and another 4 game streak in 20/21 and still finished 3rd. 8 wins 2 draws from the last 10 games.
  17. We are better than Huddersfield yet Leeds beat us and drew to them, the points achieved from each game isn't always the best/worst teams that get the results.
  18. Face the ball and clear it out his body shape is all wrong, he's on the half turn shying away from the ball
  19. I don't like when deflections are called lucky for example the deflection Ipswich scored against us was due to Vestegaard not facing the ball square on and shying away from the ball, Faes did the same for one of Leeds goals. Its bad defensive positioning usually from a defensive point of view, but from an attacking point of view you have to shoot to create the deflection, if we haven't scored more deflections it's due to the opposition actually defending with some balls and not being scared of the ball.
  20. Which is why playing two teams in the top half away from home, may actually be a blessing in our current predicament.
  21. Ipswich are definitely not lucky, I seen a podcast before the season predicting they would finish 4th. I think Ipswich performances despite having way less resources than Leicester, rubs some Leicester fans up the wrong way. Even in the two games we played against each other, Leicester had spells of dominance bit not more than 55-60% over the whole match. Its hard for some fans to accept a team that were two divisons apart from us just over a year ago, are now our equals. I say fair play to them, of the 4 teams that have threatened automatics, they are also best equipped to take the setback if they were to miss out, and achieve promotion through the play offs.
  22. Yet players that haven't featured much the whole season played 120 minutes 4 days before, they can’t have been in as physically good match condition as the regulars, its a mental thing rather than a physical one.
  23. I'm going to link this comment with another "we aren’t getting any points from the next 3 games" we are in a bad run the teams between 10th-14th don't seem like they have a lot to play for, we have two of those teams in the next 3 games.
  24. More chance than there was of 7 wins 1 draw 1 defeat in 2015, and 4 defeats in 14 months in 2015-2016 though. Far less than 5000-1, I'd say it's 50-1
  25. We have kept clean sheets in 12 of 35 games just over a third, we should be targeting at least 6 from the last 11 games, if goals are drying up we have to tighten up the other end, much like what happened in 2016 with all those 1-0 win starting around this time of the year, we were free scoring earlier in that season, teams worked us out, we had to then break teams down a lot more. 5 wins on the spin that season began on 5th March, let's start again on the 5th March.
