Have you replied to the wrong post? How is this relevant to what I have posted?

Imagine if we had appointed someone like Scott Parker or stuck with Dean Smith. They may have been able to get us up and then again, I don't say that with any confidence, but there would have been no long term future under them.

It really struck me in the first-half how wide our wingers were.

I thought the atmosphere in the singing section yesterday was great at times. Seemed to be more people joining in across the kop too. Was fun.

In my opinion the best championship podcast

Coady at this point had played one competitive game under Maresca and that was away at Anfield! It is far too early to reach these conclusions!

Preston brought good numbers for a midweek away game in the championship 3 hours away. I was surprised, I was expecting them to bring at most 1500.

I would be fine with music at full-time if it was the right song. When You're Smiling in full after a win could really hit!

Leicester City 3-0 Preston North End - Post Match Thread

We were poor until we got the first goal. However, low blocks are never easy to breakdown. There's a reason why it is the popukar for managers with inferior players, it often works! After we got the goal we were in complete control of the game. The second goal was an absolute beauty. Yubus Akgun looks a real player! -
Stoke denied a stonewall penalty against Southampton.

It's more that I can see someone like Leeds putting a run together and having a tilt at the top two. If we are ahead of Ipswich then it gives us even more of a buffer.
-
Ipswich are here to stay.

I've thought about it a little more and actually I'm wondering if Enzo has made a calculation that we can play this way in the championship because the reward is worth the risk. because we are less likely to be punished at this level playing this way. IF we get promoted he may be a little bit more pragmatic because we are more likely to be punished in the premier league. In the games against Norwich and Blackburn we were still taking risks in terms of playing out from the back but our backline was nowhere near as high up the pitch.

That's certainly not a recent thing. Football hooliganism was an epidemic throughout the 70s, 80s and even into the 90s/00s. People used to throw bananas at black footballers and there used to be much larger sections of the crowd doing monkey chants. Mocking tragedies is also nothing new. Liverpool fans used to take flags to games referencing the Munich air disaster. Has there been a time in the past 60 years when football hasn't attracted scumbags? It's all wrong ofcourse, and I honestly couldn't care less about what happens to some twat who mocks the death of a little boy. My initial reaction and maybe it's irrational is that surely police resources can be put to better use and it's a matter for Sheffield Wednesday and football's governing bodies.
-
Does the same apply to an entire Liverpool away end singing 'Maggie's in a box'? I don't want to be misconstrude because what this bloke has done is certainly worse because he is mocking a 5/6 year-old child that passed away with a serious illness rather than a powerful woman who lived until the age of 87. Ultimately though, people are still mocking someone's death and it's very distasteful.

I really wish people would just leave us alone. They are opening up old wounds by not only reminding us about him, but getting us all wound up about him again. We've suffered enough.
-
I think a stadium ban is sufficient.

It depends how brave they are willing to be. It was one extreme to the other in terms of what we have had to face in our last two league games. Bristol City came and sat off us and let us have the ball in 2/3rds of the pitch. Blackburn were really aggressive in terms of their press and positioning.

There is a long way to go this season and things may still go wrong, but I would like to thank him for giving me some hope after our last permanent manager rode roughshod over the whole football club and was allowed to do so for far too long.
-
Even better if that turns out to be the case! I wouldn't bank on that being enough this season though. I can see Leeds hitting a good run of form and I think Ipswich are here for the long run too. Maybe a couple of others will also stay the course.
-
90 points is typically around the total you need for automatic promotion. If we can win 20 more games this season, we can afford to lose 11 more games and still reach that total. Obviously winning 28 games in a 46 game season is easier said than done, but there's a chance we will be able to afford a blip.
-
I think we have nothing to worry about this season. He is a manager with a distinct style of football that wants to be given time to build something. He won't want to take on a relegation threatened team with no pre-season, especially if we look set for promotion.
-
Yes, but still this horrendous.
-
Sheffield Wednesday finished 2 points behind Ipswich last season. Let that sink in.
-
Questioning how Sheffield Wedneaday ended up on over 90 points in League one. They are truly terrible.
