Sheffield Wednesday are horrendous
-
GB news appears to be crumbling and I for one am here for it. I wouldn't be quite as bothered if they didn't brand it as a news channel. It clearly isn't a news channel and it is actually very disturbing that members of our government have slots on a channel that platforms conspiracy theorists.

Huddersfield deserved the draw in the end.
-
Huddersfield look dreadful. I know we weren't at our best when we played them but it does feel like a lot of teams have raised their game against us.
-
The standard of football in this game is appalling!
-
Come on, have you seen how horrendous Luton and Sheffield United are? Burnley don't look great either. My point is hat it really wouldn't have taken that much to turn this around with a pre-season under a new manager and several players leaving. It was a rebuild opportunity but from a higher base.
-
Also, if we go up then all of us will see finishing 16th/17th in our first season back as a success. That really is going the long way round.
-
Oh I'm enjoying it more now than last season, of course. Last season was pure misery. However, I will never argue that a completely avoidable relegation is a blessing in disguise. The only relegation we have had in my lifetime looking back on it that I could consider a blessing in disguise is relegation to League 1. The big difference is that we had been stinking out the championship for four years.
-
Seeing some of our fans claiming that relegation was some sort of blessing in disguise now that we have won a few games in the championship. There is absolutely no guarantee that we will be promoted this season and seeing how poor the three newly promoted sides are, we would have probably stayed up comfortably this season. The task of getting us back to being a competent premier league side having just stayed up would not have been insurmountable.

That meltdown would be sensational.

Australia are Tigers under Murphy bad. Let me tell you, that was bad.
-
Eddie Jones should be banned from the sport.
-
Australia are really poor. Hard to comprehend an Australia team being this bad at a world cup. Surely no one can still be claiming that Eddie Jones shouldn't have been sacked by England? Australia look set to go out at the group stage. Having said that, I think Wales have defended very well.
-
Our win against Cardiff looking like a bigger result than many thought at the time. Also, our defeat to Hull doesn't look so bad either.
-
They spent loads of money in the summer they got relegated. People are very dismissive of how well we are doing because of our financial situation in relation to most of the league. However, Stoke in 2018 prove that spending doesn't guarantee success. Chelsea at the moment are a more high profile example.

Leeds are a threat for sure. They have far top much attacking quality at this level not to be. There's often a team that makes a late charge and secures a playoff spot. I think that team will be Southampton once they replace Russell Martin.
-
I'm usually quick to stick the boot in on Rodgers but even I think statements such as 'Russell Martin is Rodgers 2.0' are harsh on Rodgers. Brendan did in the early part of his tenure have us playing some brilliant football. Martin is 3rd season Rodgers on steroids. All the worse elements of third season Rodgers amplified. So happy we didn't appoint him.

Carries himself like an elite manager. He has a certain arrogance, but not an offensive arrogance. He's a man who appears to be in control and knows exactly what he wants.
-
That was a 3-0 win with a 1-0 scoreline. Much the better side today. I thought in many ways that was our best performance of the season. At times the football was was scintillating, we just needed a better touch or a bit of composure to make our dominance count.

Apologies if there is already a thread. Apart from a couple of hairy moments with the ball at his feet, I thought he did pretty well, especially when you consider how young he is for a goalkeeper.

I've decided that I want to give up drinking or at very least, cut down significantly. As someone that has had issues with mental health, I often used it is a coping mechanism but it's counterproductive as it makes me feel absolutely horrendous the next day. I also have the issue that once I start I find it really difficult to stop and I don't just get drunk, I get absolutely annihilated. I'm a little bit anxious about how I'm going to cope being in situations where everyone else is drinking and I'm completely sober and I can't help but think that I will be missing out. Has anyone here given up drinking and how do they feel about it? Any advice?
