  1. This was so cringe, although sadly the most entertaining part of the night for me, for all the wrong reasons. I’m surprised he didn’t pull out a clapper to wave around with his little flag. Would have been great if he’d worked with a club insider beforehand and arranged for the Benny Hill theme tune to be blasted out simultaneously around the stadium whilst the slo-motion steward chase was happening. The chants of ‘Sign him up’ added to the moment, pretty much summing up the state of the club right now.
  2. Not sure I’ve ever had such repeated hope, for so long, for a player to come good who hasn’t. His goal against West Ham started the cycle again. Unfortunately, he’s like a bent golf club. However hard you concentrate on swinging it, you know you’ll shank the ball at an almost impossible angle.
  3. 2 tickets for this, bought at the same time in one transaction, arrived this morning in two separate envelopes. Both first class at a total cost of £2.52. Didn’t realise the booking fee was subsidised by the club. Fan engagement is improving at last.
  4. Listening to the pod is now one of my Leicester City rituals. Like having a pre-match bacon cob at Silver Street cafe, walking to and from the ground and listening to Radio Leicester on the way home. Occasionally though, other things in life make my Leicester obsession a bit less meaningful for a while. I’m sure you all feel a pressure to get a pod done week after week anyway, but if whatever is happening with you right now means the next one isn’t done for a while, that really is ok mate.
  5. You just beat me to it. As I said above though, they probably aren’t even arsed they missed it.
  6. Summed up by the massive amount of early leavers. I hope they now regret missing one of the greatest feelings as a football fan, late goals, but probably no regrets at all. Zero passion.
  7. Being a Leicester fan has meant I’ve been looking out for a therapy hobby recently and Jake’s knitting story has opened up a whole world of opportunity. Cheers.
  8. Reading through this thread it’s interesting how it’s almost an unconscious bias now to presume any appointment, anywhere, is heavily based on box ticking. It happens lots of course and I’m not naive enough to think it doesn’t. I sometimes have this way of thinking myself. However, I only know one person on the board personally. I don’t know Emily well, but from my experience she’s exactly the right kind of person to be doing this. Someone who understands fan culture and fan engagement well and will challenge the club, without being a ‘Yes-woman’. How successful this board will be in bringing change though, even if they’re all great people, is another matter. Fan engagement shouldn’t be that difficult, but It’s clear those making decisions in recent years have little understanding of that or fan culture. Breaking through the corporate words and what appears to be control because of various fears will be a massive task, perhaps impossible.
  9. Strange one then. I was buying mine yesterday and 2 of my mates weren’t on sale until today, but went through. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Priority point level has gone up for this game, but looks like they forgot to tell the system. Possibly 650+ can buy today. Certainly 679+ can when it’s supposed to be 700+ today.
  11. I love going to Camden Town when playing either Arsenal or Tottenham. Such a vibrant place and the best away day chip shop. Also love Brighton away for similar reasons. Bournemouth on a decent weather day too. The worst is Wolves. Such a depressing place. Also, not Premier League, but Blackburn last season on a rainy Sunday was horrific. The ground isn’t actually in the centre, but everywhere was boarded up and the whole vibe of the place was oppressive.
  12. Very true. Everything now is a conspiracy. Although this goalkeeper howler is up there with the best (or worst) of them.
  13. There doesn’t seem to be. Maybe the tv angle doesn’t pick it up, but it looks very routine, even possibly with a bit of back spin slowing it down. Very odd. Almost as embarrassing and odd was the continual stream of home fans leaving the stadium during the last 15/20 minutes, with Sunderland only needing a point to go top of the table. I hope the leavers are upset that they missed a moment football fans should savour, but probably they won’t be, as at least they’re home a bit earlier to watch the highlights.
  14. 22-28.
  15. It’s not normally stated and, as you’ve said, not many people will want to stand as away supporters. They’re trying to make a point here I think, which will probably fall flat. They’ve provided safe standing now at Southampton for the majority of away fans, so have given a small block to cater for the minority who can’t or don’t want to stand. Most people will avoid buying in that area, but if/when they are the only seats left, obviously anyone wanting a ticket will buy in there, who may well then stand up. So it could create a situation of our fans in that block arguing between themselves about sitting/standing, with the stewards looking on with complete disinterest and it causing a problem rather than being the intended solution.
  16. Roughly 4 almost full blocks and 3 half full still available out of the original 7, which are all safe standing. One block with about 70 seats available which states no standing.
  17. I agree that results don’t matter at all but I think performance does massively at this stage. Anyone who watched that yesterday saw very worrying signs. It looked like the first day of pre-season training with a new manager, not the last pre-season friendly a week before the new season.
  18. Yes you’re right. Just meaning that the time of kick off on the days could change, but I should probably have left it until time is confirmed. The Amazon Boxing Day games last season had games kicking off from 12.30pm -8pm.
  19. Amazon have 2 Leicester games live in December with KO time to be announced. One is an evening game anyway and the other Liverpool away on Boxing Day.
  20. There are 5 blocks behind the goal. 2 are almost sold out and one is almost untouched, with approximately 200 seats available. 2 blocks are greyed out, but presumably not been opened yet as they are on either end.
  21. I know things are getting desperate, but if we get Compo in from Last Of The Summer wine then training will look like this. 🤷‍♂️
  22. A thread titled ‘Things never to tell the ticket office’ would possibly be a good idea.
  23. He has a footballing version of ‘The yips’ right now. Totally unplayable for weeks, whilst he’s declined further, and how the manager hasn’t seen that is baffling.
  24. Agreed. Unplayable at the moment and everyone apart from his fan club can see that.
