  1. Agree with Cosbehfox, it's not flat. Worth practicing a few bits of hills before the day
  2. All the best for tomorrow, make it a steady start and keep going.
  3. All the best to those doing Big 10k today.
  4. Postage prices gone up a lot but that sounds like a recipe for carnage!!
  5. Yes, canal or river but only for a short section
  6. I went this morning, good for a visit but wouldn't want to do it every week. Obviously dry today so no problem there. You do run quite a lot around rugby pitches/playing field. Nice bit around a lake. Couple of narrow bits with runners going in both directions. Good wide start, easy parking and friendly marshalls.
  7. Has anyone done Dishley parkrun Loughborough? Is it worth going to?
  8. And TV picks for this weekend STILL not confirmed!!!
  9. Rothley 10km, 3rd June. Always a great atmosphere, money goes to LOROS and fish and chips afterwards. What's not to like? Other than the hills!!
  10. I didn't have a hotel so slept in the hire car for a few hours. Woke up and it was -6, so cold!
  11. No, moving away in the next 6 months. Will try and get to aways but know that's likely to be harder to get tickets. Had a season ticket on and off for most of last 25 years
  12. I had a refuelling samosa chaat, biryani, chicken dhaba curry, garlic naan. Can't beat it, makes the running worth it!
  13. I got my fastest parkrun time for 8 years, 21.25, yesterday morning. Very happy with that. Aiming for a 21.00 minute one this spring
  14. Stayed at Atypik Hotel, Clichy, very near to Mairie de Clichy tube station. The area was decent decent cafes and the staff at the hotel were friendly . Rooms weren't big but in my experience Paris hotels all have small rooms.
  15. I think it's the Court field at Earls Court station, someone else will confirm. Food and atmosphere decent last time I went
  16. It may sound obvious but a flat course with few corners. My nephew ran the same parkrun route 3 weeks in a row to finally get it on week 3.
  17. A brilliant time for a first ever 5k!!! Well done you! Maybe try a Saturday morning parkrun next. Beware it's quite addictive though
  18. Partly this. Need the ground for the 92 as not been before. Available on the day and can afford to go but don't see why I should after the farce of Everton away, it's left me feeling sour.
  19. Atmosphere stank like the performance
  20. Is it definitely permanently closed or getting a refurbishment?
  21. Liverpool is about to close to entries but it's a good route I think. About 4 miles back in alongside the Mersey. Just one hill in the first mile
  22. One of my favourite ever away games this was!!! Every time I go to Spurs away we win 2-1 (twice!!).
  23. Yeah, agreed thought it was quite good but not epic because of the nervousness. A Spurs fan near us in the corporate section was absolutely frothing, proper getting wound up!
  24. Just about to leave, feeling really positive
  25. I did Leamington parkrun this morning for the first time. It had a bit of ice in places and partially on grass. And a proper (short) hill!!! Quite enjoyed it and got about 24:30. There were loads there, might try it again in warmer weather.
