How warm do you want? Nowhere in Europe is particularly warm in December, where I live in southern Spain or the Canaries are probably warmest but even here it's only low 20"s during the day and almost baltic when the sun goes down Our house is built to keep the heat out and we can really tell in the winter! Maybe Cyprus or Greece might also be warm but I think you'll struggle for real warmth in Europe at that time of year

If you were staying at the Belmont Hotel and needed to pick a restaurant for 6 people including 4 people in their early twenties, one of whom is an extremely picky eater, where would you choose? My husband and I will be over from Spain for the Charlton match with our daughter and her Charlton supporting boyfriend, and we will be meeting up with my son and his girlfriend to take them out for dinner, probably on the match day. Staying at the Belmont and we will have a car but don't really want to drive when we're in the city already. There must be loads of options but it's years since we've been into town, so I feel like I need some help!

It seems that new year doesn't get any easier, I guess every single one for the rest of my life is going to be a really shitty reminder that my 20 year old son didn't make it any further in his life. I wish he'd been able to talk to me, or his sister, or anyone really. If he'd had any idea that our lives would be ruined he would never have done what he did, and I really implore anyone who's thinking of ending their life to think of the impact on those left behind. It really is much farther reaching than you can imagine. Just talk to someone, anyone, and don't put your family and friends what we're still going through, and will be forever more. If you can't speak in person just post here Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. Talk more people. Much love and strength to everyone in this thread xxxx

We did do an organised tour, but I don't think it was necessary and we'd happily go again on our own. The city is beautiful and we felt safe, we really enjoyed it there, you will have to report back!

It was amazing thank you! Yes we did, both were lovely, Panama we did the canal visit which was great and then had a brief stop in the city on the way back, and Cartagena we went sightseeing in the city. Both beautiful places. It was an amazing holiday over all, we now have lots more places we'd love to return to to spend more time seeing them properly, that will probably have to wait for retirement though!
