  1. I think people mentioning trip advisor reviews either haven't read or have misunderstood my post. The food and the service were both great, maybe we were lucky. Maybe my post also would have been better in a different thread, but the point was that I was surprised about the bill, that was all, and as has since been mentioned there are reasons for this
  2. Had my eye on an Alfa Tonale for a while having had a couple of Alfas in my time and absolutely loving them Got one at the weekend as a hire car and realised I prefer my Renault Captur. Gutted
  3. Aha I remember you mentioning this a while ago. Does she speak to other people?!

  5. This. Lots of names are there for very innocent reasons, this doesn't apply to these two though.

  7. You can ask to just search for James Bistro, that only gives 4 results, all in this thread. Well 5 now I guess

  9. Six of us went to La Fontana in town on Saturday night, lovely food and good service, but our Spanish debit card had a bit of a shock at the bill, it was probably around 50% more expensive than we'd expect to pay at home for similar

  14. I'd say I'm a bit of both really, I want to get it as quickly as possible in the fewest amount of tries But ultimately I'd rather it takes a bit longer if I need fewer tries

  18. It's not me saying it, it's the UK government. Bruce won't be able to apply for an ETA because he can't tick the box that says he isn't a British citizen or however that works, so therefore he has to have the passport. How would they know he is a UK citizen? I have no idea, I guess he could just lie on the ETA application and hope they have no way of knowing. https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/uk-dual-national-passport-rules-living-abroad-2026-b2901039.html

  20. From what I've read about this your daughter will need a British passport, yes. Everyone will need either an ETA or a British passport if they don't need a visa, and as a British citizen she can't get an ETA so will need the passport, or some certificate which I think costs much more than the passport.

  22. I've got tickets for this game, it's been planned virtually ever since we found oursleves in the same league as Charlton. My daughter's boyfriend is a Charlton fan and the 4 of us are flying over from Spain for the weekend, it'll be our first game since covid. I'm genuinely torn between wasting the tickets, joining the boycott and spending extra time with my son who lives in Leicester, or going and trying to make it clear what I think. I don't relish the abuse I'd probably get though. What a time to be a Leicester fan.

  24. I'm not sure that I have ever been an advocate of murder, in fact I'm fairly certain I haven't. But please can someone just take the cvnt out already? He's an absolute clown and the world deserves so much better
  25. Next weekend is going to be my first time back in the UK since my son left me. I'm looking forward to spending time with my oldest son, and me, my husband, daughter and her Charlton supporting boyfriend are going to the match so I'm looking forward to that, as much as I can with our current situation anyway. But fvck me it's going to be hard. If Ellis was still here we would be seeing him too, and his absence is still like an actual hole in my heart. He was the first one of my children who I took with me to the KP, he had his first beer there, and it was the scarf I gave to him that we laid when Vichai died. I think some time in the remembrance garden will probably be spent, but not too much that it takes away from the people who are still here. I hope every single on of you is doing ok
