  1. Must win. The EFL is considering a 50 points penalty which could dump us into League 1. For constant and egregious FFP (Fans being F***ing Pusscakes) violations. So let’s stand a little taller, people! We can certainly get the point we need from this one, even all three.
  2. I’m all in favor of confidence and a hint of swagger from Enzo. A big part of his job is making every player feel ten feet tall when he comes out of the dressing room. * except the back line. When Faes starts feeling ten feet tall, he decides he’s a number 10 and forgets which 18 yard box is his office. And Vestergaard is already 10 feet tall.
  3. Given the defeatist mood of an apparently big part of the fanbase, we may be just as well off playing this one at Elland Road. Playing well enough to control the game and gain a point is all we need, and might be enough to dampen the mood there. Whereas at home it might activate the boobirds?
  4. “Electricity use has trebled in the east midlands. Have those ****s all started mining bitcoin?” “Actually we’ve traced it to … laptops, sir. Excel, if you can believe it. Something about Championship table modeling. It’s 24/7 in most households.”
  5. Maybe we should all just realize Ipswich are ahead of the curve on tactics. Get the ball in/near the box and kick it hard off a defender. (Or one of your own if no defender is handy.) Takes the keeper right out of the play. @StriderHiryu
  6. I thought about paying HCFC a tenner to stream this match but couldn't bring myself to do it. Looks lie I'll get by the minute updates here anyway!
  7. ESPN+ streams solely to the US. They are reliant for UK broadcasts for EFL matches, but I never considered there would not be one for So'ton v Hull. The old fart next door getting a semi would probably draw more US households than an EFL Trophy semi. Unless maybe Liverpool’s U21s were involved. * * (with the EFL Trophy, not the old fart)
  8. Without comment on his abilities, Maguire has two years remaining on a contract reported to pay him well upwards of 150K/week. We'd probably need half of that paid by Man U even if we loaned him for a year at no fee.
  9. And ESPN are streaming none of it in the states. Showing Blackpool v Peterborough instead. Who makes these decisions?
  10. Big Wes meets up with Madderz, Hamza and Barnes at Ayoze’s house and … scolds the lads and drives them all home. We don’t lose to WHU without them and we make Champions League.
  11. A new season of something I watched every episode of -- and it's not all over our Netflix splash screen They are sleeping on the job. Or my wife has binged too many chick shows and they figured the football show was just somebody using her login.
  12. That would explain why a new Sunderland Til I Die series is in the works "Charlie Methven, hold my beer"
  13. Perhaps not the ideal turn of phrase to win converts here. A bit like wearing a "Feel the Bern" t-shirt to speak at a MAGA rally.
  14. Watching this Brugge derby and thinking “these players are shite” … then that Cercle whippet grabs a loose ball in his own box, takes it the length of the pitch and beats FOUR defenders to finish ... of course in any English league he’d never have made it to halfway.
  15. Can Enzo have made it any clearer? We will stick to his strategy. This is the game of the season in this league -- and between two giant clubs by its standards. We should see plenty of hype.
  16. We feel felt actually we are enjoying your pain. Sorry mate, until your board ends this fraud's inexplicable career, sympathy will be hard to come by in these parts.
  17. I’m willing to put my neck on the line and say he won’t even be the next Harry Arter.
  18. The price for FoxesHub back in August felt like a lead pipe colonoscopy. But if I could have got it with a guarantee that the table would look like this after 33 matches, I’d have paid extra.
  19. A good post like this is not bedwetting. Lots of us have concerns and express constructive criticism. It’s a matter of maintaining balance, and putting it in context. With 33 (plus cup) games as that context … people who flip out into over-the-top moaning that today proved our team is doomed ... who are on here stating as fact that we’ll lose the next match or the title or automatic promotion … really do have a serious bladder control problem. All that said, very few of us are mentally caressing that trophy just yet.
  20. That third Haaland chance was the best of all. He's picked the wrong day to lay an egg
  21. Haaland off target with two great chances. Makes me feel a little less exercised after watching our finishing today.
  22. "We've" not got the minerals if "we" includes you. At least based on your last dozen posts.
  23. Leeds pretty strong favorites. Let's see how we perform as the underdogs.
  24. "Careless" was an observable fact. "Complacent" and "arrogant' are a rush to judgment. Let's see how they react on Friday.
