  1. Did Matteo drag Chelsea down to 17th in the PL? I doubt if Del Bosque did anything like that either with Madrid. They were sacked because Chelsea used to replace their manager virtually every other season under the Russian and at Real Madrid De Bosque didn't really get on with Perez as President, so it had alot to do with politics.
  2. What about the season before last, when Man City won the title in the last weekend of the season by 2 points. According to you that’s nowhere near winning a title? We did blow up at the end of 2022/23, when we led for most of that season, but once again that was a 2 horse race with Man Utd a distant 3rd. So do you think before last season Spurs and Utd were competing for the title? Here’s a quick look at their previous three seasons: 2021/22 Spurs were 4th, 2022/23 Spurs were 8th and 23/24 they were 5th. Man Utd were 6th in 2021/22, 3rd in 2022/23 and 8th in 2023/24. So ‘normal service’ next season would see them finishing 5th or 6th based on the three seasons before last. I would n’t call that competing for the title. I think you need to be doing me the favour.
  3. When I see Arteta next I will pass this pearl of wisdom on.
  4. The level of intelligence on display by this MAGA Illinois congresswoman is off the charts. Assume MAGA stands for make America garbage again.
  5. He has been successful in making the club more competitive, you only have to look at our results against Man City and Liverpool over the last 2 seasons to see that improvement. Ultimately though only one club can win the league and that has n’t been Arsenal. However, there are a few of the so called “big clubs”, Spurs, Man Utd amongst them, that would be biting their hand off to be able to compete consistently at the top of the PL. Arteta, for me though has to take that final step next season, no excuses.
  6. So why would they sack in your view a successful manager ie one who has enjoyed a “successful” season?
  7. They sacked their manager, so of course not. Round and round we go.
  8. Calmed down now have we? 😂
  9. Take a chill pill. Blimey.
  10. That they are proper bobbins. Thought that was obvious.
  11. Spurs finished 17th and lost 22 games. Get a grip.
  12. What’s your actual point?
  13. Oh you’re quoting Arteta and Wenger, not particularly original, but hey ho.
  14. For being anti spurs? If so guilty as charged.
  15. Top class, relativity young managers don’t grow on trees, a bit like prolific strikers. Someone like Alonso for instance has a breakout season with Leverkusen and gets instantly snapped up by Real Madrid. I would like it if there were more home grown managers, but they are a rarity in the PL.
  16. I have to agree with that. Arteta has to actually get over the line next season. If not it should be his last.
  17. The Spurs board don’t think he’s had a successful season, otherwise he wouldn’t have got the sack. How can you argue with that?
  18. I think our league form was disappointing in that yet again we finished second, but hardly a disaster. I don’t think getting through to a CL semi final and losing to a team that smashed Inter in the final could be classed as any kind of failure either. Btw I don’t particularly like or rate Arteta.
  19. Some people have been saying Spurs had a better season than Arsenal. If that was the case why have they sacked their manager?
  20. I was without a landline during the early 90’s and managed to spent a small fortune on these.
  21. I hope these sentences are reviewed and eventually get sent to the Court of Appeal. No idea what this Judge was smoking.
  22. So she served seven years in total. Not really justice is it.
  23. Anyone been following the retrial of Karen Read v Massachusetts on Court TV? Accused of murdering her police officer boyfriend by running him over, but also allegations that he was murdered by a fellow officer and that she is the victim of a frame. It’s now in its penultimate week and it’s certainly been engrossing.
  24. Beyond the headlines I didn’t know a great deal about this psychopath. Comprehensive documentary from the Storyville team. His one regret was that maybe he could have killed a few more people!
  25. Yeah ok, he’s more like 11 and a half.
