  1. May well be, or he simply didn’t like his proxy being hit. In any event, civilians in both countries can for now not worry about bombs being dropped on their heads. Pity no one else has the same concern for the citizens of Gaza.
  2. Most people including me (and I loath him) would like to believe in all his blundering, that he would actually achieve some good deeds. Whether this is one of them remains to be seen.
  3. You gotta to be kidding me!
  4. The mother is unquestionably a horror show, that much is clear. I might disagree with you on the level of responsibility though.
  5. She was certainly partly responsible, however her daughter seemed to have had other people in her life, including a boyfriend who did n’t share her mother’s views. Very sad that her daughter chose to go down that path, but choose she did.
  6. I was quite surprised at how good the first film was, so will be interested in this sequel.
  7. WW2 was still a massive industry for comics and toys in the mid to late 70’s. I had most of the airfix armies including the Germans and Japanese.
  8. I did have one, but can’t remember what the game was called?
  9. It’s just a pity, that the leading players in these three malevolent governments can’t be dropped on a deserted island a la “Battle Royale” and batter each other senseless.
  10. Hope it absolutely tips down in Yorkshire today, not enjoying the heat and humidity.
  11. Racist that he is, he’s still probably angry that Martin Luther King Jnr got one.
  12. Do you think he wants a Nobel peace prize? 🤣 His sworn enemy Barack Obama got one and it’s all about a competition for him.
  13. I didn't actually know the name of the singer on this track, but yes it was a massive anthem.
  14. I can’t stand beach holidays.
  15. I suppose Man Utd still fits into that category? But let's face it, nowadays any team can beat them and last season frequently did. 😂
  16. Any US involvement in a country’s regime change is bound to go well, as they have such a solid track record from Vietnam to Afghanistan! I bet the Iranians can hardly wait.
  17. Same as Arsenal and Spurs.
  18. Suspect this was issued to appease Trump’s base, although he has used some big words in there so many of them, including Trump himself will struggle to follow.
  19. Hull to Kings X station in 2 and half hrs is not too bad either.
  20. In a word no. If you decided not to travel abroad by any means, that would be different. I am an older generation and I did n’t fly as a kid, but still managed to get see a fair bit of Europe thanks to my mum ( who never flew anywhere). As as adult I have flown to all the continents, but I no longer think that I have a long haul flight left in me. Edit I have not been to Australia.
  21. I am obviously considerably older than you, as I have been following darts since the early 80’s. I have never seen so many world class dart players, as are currently on the circuit. You have picked a good time to get into it! I love football, but darts is something very special.
  22. What a great final. Josh Rock out of this world.
  23. I liked the look of NI from the get go, so will stick with them.
  24. Yes Hong Kong have played well so far. I am keeping my eye on Northern Ireland and would expect them to beat their neighbours and once they are in the semi who knows. Probably given them the kiss of death now. 😁
  25. I don't think many people saw that coming. The Lukes never seemed to settle and Germany did not muck around on the doubles. Pretty open competition now.
