  1. Gonna go a bit out of the box and say we should do both.
  2. Multiple police forces across the UK have said they are assessing whether to launch investigations into Epstein-related allegations. They are: Thames Valley Police - assessing allegations that a second woman was sent to the UK by Epstein for a sexual encounter with the former prince Essex Police - examining flight logs and emails referencing Epstein's private jet using Stansted Airport Bedfordshire Police - assessing Epstein's use of London Luton Airport Met Police - launched a criminal investigation into Peter Mandelson, following claims he passed market-sensitive information to Epstein Surrey Police - seeking information on an allegation of human trafficking and sexual assault dating back to the mid-1990s Norfolk Constabulary - reviewing Epstein files but have not received specific allegations Wiltshire Police - reviewing its records and "cannot definitively say that we have not had any allegations at this stage", and said it had supported the Met Police Scotland - said it wanted to "speak to anyone with information" about Epstein's private jet using Edinburgh Airport West Midlands Police - confirmed it was assessing the private flights into and out of Birmingham Airport following the publication of Epstein files Get your bets in. How many of our police forces are going to get past the "we're looking into it" stage and actually do something against these rancid nonces?
  3. Is it too late to get Burnham in for that by-election?
  4. Not at all relevant but my brother got a slow cooker for Xmas so he's been branching out with his cooking and making stews, with my mums assistance. Bring on my mum raging at me the next day that he doesn't even have pepper in his house. Never mind anything else you'd want in a stew. And then the next week my brother exclaimed to me that he's discovered the best thing ever to bring his stews into a new extra world class category. The oxo stockpot. He's 44 ffs. How can you have a worlds worth of herbs and spices and condiments at your local supermarket and never think to try any of them?!
  5. There's gonna be a few of that 8 (maybe even Starmer himself) that regret blocking Burnham from having a shot at that MP seat. Some of the emails coming out from that guy. Jeez. If he doesn't end up in jail something has gone horribly wrong.
  6. Ya mean someone woke up in the wrong house with the worst hangover of their lives.
  7. Wild decision. Pretty much just openly admitted he's afraid he'd lose a leadership contest to him. If this decision leads to losing the by-election which should have been an easy one he's going to have more and more of his own turn on him. Already got some of his own out today saying democracy takes more than 10 people.
  8. "National security" appears to be the excuse, not the reason. He wants the land mass and the resources it holds. Same way they bullied Ukraine into giving up resources.
  9. This might sound stupid but I genuinely don't know, why couldn't they just vote on it with their majority?
  10. You've got to think if labour keep polling as badly as they have been, that they'll move toward changing the first past the post system, while they still can. Always talked about it when they weren't in power iirc.
  11. Hopefully our police leaders use their own brains, like they are paid handsomely to do, and not some third rate AI
  12. However, in a letter to the Home Affairs Select Committee released today, he admits the mistake was the "result of a use of Microsoft Co Pilot" - an AI tool Imagine being this crap at your job.
  13. Modern companies are sodding stupid. Virgin media 24month contract coming to an end, renewal price is way higher than we were paying. So signed back up to bt. Now when they are alerted we're leaving through the switch service they send an email with an "exclusive offer" to try and keep us. It's too late now idiots. If you're business plan assumption is "they'll be too lazy to switch so try and fleece them", don't then ask people to go through the nonsense of cancelling their new plan to come back to you. It's so ****ing ridiculous that these service providers aren't made to just charge one price across the board.
  14. I dream of being rich enough that £50 could come out of my bank and I wouldn't notice tbh. Can't imagine losing track of thousands over a number of years
  15. I'd say compatibility, not superiority tbh.
  16. Whole system is dogshit anyways. Only difference with this is you've got to convince one nobber instead of 12.
  17. Tbh based on your quoting skills I'd say you couldn't even be arsed to read my entire post never mind an entire BBC thread.
  18. However, migration experts have pointed out that much of this reduction is actually because of measures brought in by the Conservatives in 2024. I thought we were supposed to listen to the experts? For chuckles I'll go for a combo of clueless tories finally seeing the light after reform moved in for their voters/not even people from war torn or poverty stricken countries want to live under this Labour government.
  19. Enough, imo.
  20. Not yet. He'll have until the budget at least. Still hard to see him lasting the full term when the reality is the labour party now have the support of 20%, or less, of the electorate. Only the proper die hards or the outright deluded still waving that Labour flag. Even their support on here is waning.
  21. Get people that can work, working. My brother hasn't worked a single day for going on 16 years now, because why would he. He's a single parent, has his house paid for, gets enough money to live on comfortably. He's mentally and physically more than capable of having a job, and worked full time for almost a decade before having his kid, there is zero reason he should be free riding, other than the fact that he can. Also, get this bill passed that'll let old people die like they should. It's ridiculous that people that have been checked out mentally for YEARS, are constantly pumped full of half a pharmacy worth of drugs a day and looked after 24/7/365 by a team of people are kept alive for no reason other than people are squeamish about death. Wouldn't wish that sort of torture on anyone. You can't keep having more and more people living for longer, and more and more people living without working. Start there, then come raid my paypacket, AGAIN, if needed.
  22. Izzy confirmed part of the inner circle.
  23. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0mx99ple17o Hopefully rings a bell with the "but they can't work here duuuhhhh" people.
  24. Shouldn't it say government might have to raise tax AGAIN shocker? Y'know... Cuz the first Labour budget included some £40billion~ in tax rises?
