Eh? Season 1 of Luke cage was good, punisher overall was good, season 1 of Jones was great. The only real flop of the bunch was iron fist, and that was more to do with the god awful casting than the story itself. Hiring a dude who didn't have any fighting experience to play a martial arts expert was an embarrassment. I'm 95% sure I'd have slapped the shit out of that guy 1v1, and I can't fight for shit either.

Yes, one. Let's be honest, Nintendo aren't really part of the "console wars" are they? They sit apart from the other 2, as people are far more likely to have an xbox or ps5 AND a switch, instead of having an xbox and a ps5. Nintendo doesn't really compete vs the other two, nor do the other two particularly put any effort into going head to head vs nintendo. Maybe so, but to just give it all up and hand the keys to the kingdom to sony seem bonkers.

If the rumours are true then this will be the death of the Xbox as a console. Makes zero sense. Getting outsold 2-3 to 1 by ps5 then throwing away the few jewels you have is suicide. Bad for all gamers if we only end up with one serious console company.

There is one point in there I'd focus on though, they say season 4 of enterprise was "arguably" it's best, I disagree, I don't think there's an arguement to be made, it was clearly the best season with exactly what fans were asking for at the time, more multi-episode stories. If the show had had 3-4 more seasons at that level, I argue it could have competed with TNG/DS9 as right up there. Old trek > new trek but with strange new worlds at least it seems to be heading somewhat back in the right direction.

Doubt it. Their war with Ukraine has shown their entire military is a huge paper tiger. Practically backed into a stalement by nato's stockpile of mediocre weaponry. Against the full power that the USA alone could bring to bear they wouldn't stand a chance. Only way it goes past Ukraine is if China decides to go after Taiwan at the same time and they manage to split American attentions.

This would be my takeaway aswell. This man should have been locked up long before he had the chance to kill and hurt these people. With that said, I'd add the caveat that I can see why the families are angry. For all the similarities between prison and a secure medical facility, being told he will "probably" never be released from there because of his condition is not the same as having the assurances he'll spend x amount of years in jail. A small difference, but one of importance when people are hurting so badly imo.

Will all come down to how the economy is doing over the next year. If it remains flat lined or even blips into recession then the BoE will have no choice but to slash interest rates quickly and hope that the greedy ****ers fueling inflation stop taking the piss. Backed themselves into a pretty shit corner by targeting interest rates instead of telling the government outright that they needed to do something about rocketing fuel and energy prices, the main drivers, or excuses, of inflation.

Got a family member going through some serious legal trouble which is likely to last most of the next year at least, baby number 2 is officially on the way (yes, we actually know about it this time ) and my mum is being warned by the doctors if she doesn't reduce her stress levels she'll likely have a heart attack. So with that trifecta of craziness, an odd resolution to keep my head through this next year and have the strength to support all the people who will need me to be strong and see them all through this.

Pretty impossible situation for everyone tbh. Currently going through similar, one of my family members has been (wrongly) accused of something and been charged after some 10 months of "investigating". Now he has to spend thousands of pounds, several days in court and the emotional stress of dealing with all this crap over the next year or so because of an accusation that is not only outlandish, it's completely mathematically impossible. I can't imagine it being any worse, but I guess if he was forced to not work that would make it so. Only have to look at Mendy from man City. How long was he going through all that? 2 years or so? And then found not guilty. Innocent until proven guilty should count for everyone, even footballers. Imo the main argument for protecting women should be that the courts, police etc etc take far longer than is needed. More resources needed, not sacking people based on accusations.
