Completely unfair reading of my point to the point of absurdity tbh. But to answer your question, right now they should be finalising scouting lists, talking to managers, putting feelers out to see what movements are likely to happen and what the consequences of that will be. If club x recruits player y then they will be open to sell player z. If manager M wants unfavourable terms then we can talk to manager C. There's a million things to do right now, everything on the back end is allowed to move once the season is over and can't once the season is on. That's the point of transfer windows. Once September the first rolls around what are you expecting him to be doing? His choices have been made, everything is set. That's when he should **** off to wherever.

But this is the moment they're needed, not during the season. The season is the busy period for the players, and recruitment + planning is on pause awaiting results and the transfer window causing movement. It’s like finishing the harvest and saying the farm can shut down, when the next job is preparing the fields and getting the next crop in. You don’t rest at the exact point the next season’s work needs setting up. You can rest once it starts growing.

Doesn't make any sense. What is there to do in the middle of the season for the board? The best moment to take some time off would surely be between the season starting and Christmas.

If anyone on the FAB is here can they confirm that this line "Members discussed the balance between accountability, transparency and protecting individuals from unacceptable personal abuse." means that effectively the club said we cant hold anyone responsible because if we did then people would be mean to them? In addition, did anyone press the club on their "intention to work towards consistent senior leadership visibility" and why the result of this was one internal PR interview, and one disastrous Leicester Mercury interview followed by radio silence despite the catastrophic situation the club has subsequently found themselves in? Because from where I'm sitting this sounds like they're mocking you to your face.

The problem we have is that all deals have to run through one man who does not know what he's doing.
