Got through to choosing and they are now only selling “in demand” tickets. Which means they can put the prices up to what they want. £360 for a normal standing ticket or £260 for a seat at the top of the stadium a million miles from the stage. Sacked it off, not getting involved with that nonsense.
-
Going to be a big drop from 12 onwards I reckon as people start to go football.
-
That's insane, so if you can't get tickets for that date... tough shit you can't get any others.
-
So... are these queue numbers JUST for the gig date you want? Or are they the total number in front of you?
-
Been on before 8 and got 105,000 in front of me ha.

I really don't think it's as black and white as that, the PSR problems caused a lot of the other issues. For instance, you couldn't offer players decent contracts to get them to sign up again if we wanted them to, as the newly instated European rules meant we needed to cut our wage bill by 30% if we ever wanted to play in Europe, and at the time we were. So it means a massive pay cut for every single player. Secondly, you reach the point whereby if you have no money to spend, you have the quandary of keeping x player and hoping they keep you up rather than selling them at a massive loss and producing little in the way of budget to sign a replacement. Then of course you have players who know they are likely to walk into a decent offer if they run their contracts down, and more and more players have been taking back the power and doing just that. Of course there is going to be an element of what you say, but we accepted offers for Soumare and Vestergarrd and they turned down moves. Praet said the club had offers, but essentially took the view of their didn't think they could afford to lose his versatility. Now the idea is ok, but in hindsight if he spends the season injured, then a deal would have been better. These issues are only a relatively new thing, we've shifted plenty of players before. So you have to look at the whole and say what's changed, and the money issues are obviously one thing. Yes, people will say it would have been easier if they weren't on as much etc etc. But that's a different point.

Oh look another clown who hasn’t got a clue what he’s talking about.
-
Yeah I've confirmed it! Fingers crossed.
-
No, the date to confirm your ballot entry I think was extended until today. The link to register closed Wednesday, so many people registered it's taken forever to get through the backlog of email confirmations. Mine took like 30 hours to come through.
-
I’d imagine it will either be 7/8pm ish tonight or maybe just 7/8am tomorrow. Presale closed 7pm Wednesday, link hasn’t worked since then.

I would do a stadium over a park any day. The Roses at Heaton was woeful, we walked out of the homecoming gig. Bars were getting raided because the queues were a joke. Horrendous.

Same shit as “logistics partner” etc. Meaningless. Just paying a premium to be listed like they are somehow a preferred partner. -
1pm yesterday afternoon!

It seems moments since he joined and not a decade. Incredible to walk away with the medals he’s got and those memories. -
Still not had email confirmation of the ballot thing. Yet someone I told about it entered twice and got theirs with half an hour, hours after I did mine. I reckon it ****ed the servers and many people aren’t going to get them.

I think there are obviously other factors that play into it. From parenting (or lack of it), speak to any teachers and the shift in parents expecting schools to basically teach their children everything is huge. The general shift to digital and the online world of computing. Go past a park during the summer and nobody was about, in my youth the whole estate would be out there playing football or british bulldog etc. The notion that everyone is a paedo wanting to steal your kids, leading to huge fences around schools, with some looking more like bloodey prisons. People not giving kids the freedom they used to have to walk to school, to go and have fun with friends (god forbid they wanted to go out). The constant need to know where they are etc. The breakdown in community, it's probably alien to many now. But we knew every kids young or old on our street and we all played together, we knew every neighbour, we'd all be randomly round peoples houses on our street all the time. Now people barely seem to know their neighbours. You can list 100's of things, but the digital life for me would be a the biggest aspect.

huthy You can tell your grandkids that you played with me -
No there wasn’t. I give players time to settle in and actually play before passing any judgement. I’m genuinely interested in what we saw. Maresca said loads of times we lacked pace, so I’d understand if it was just that. If anything it’s as much a comment on the total lack of any decent questions posed by the press to delve into things. It’s a lot of our budget, so I’d hope they were for the here and now. And going to add something to the team this season… if they don’t start, you wonder why bother now when we have other pressing issues.

Once again, a basic failure in reading and comprehension. Please do find the part where I’ve criticised the player. I’ve merely asked what it is about the player the club and the manager wanted, nothing more and nothing less. We had a plethora of centre backs, so I’d like to know specifically what made us want to spend a considerable amount on him. The same goes with all players actually. I’d also very much like to point out the part where I’ve advocated for Jon Rudkin. I’ve consistently said he takes a proportion of the blame alongside others at the club for the mess they made. Just because I don’t get on the pathetic little band wagon that has to blame every little thing on him, or just blatantly blame him for stuff that’s clearly not his remit, doesn’t mean I think he’s doing a grand job.
-
I can guess at why, it just feels a little odd. If you think we REALLY need those attributes, you get someone capable of starting to bring them to the team and not for down the line, when it might be too late. I'd like to hear it from him!

4% of the population tried to get tickets for Knebworth... that's about 2.8m people today. Those websites are going down.
-
Not sure, I'd have thought Enzo would have insisted they were good with ball at feet!
-
I have no idea why it's not part of passing your test. It should be drummed into people's heads over and over again before you even get a license.

Has anyone actually asked the manager why we signed him? What he thinks he brings to the team others didn't etc. I know the lad himself says he's quick, but I'd like to hear it from the manager what we spent £12m on.
