Concerns about the direction of the club
Babylon replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Who said he’s kept in the dark? He doesn’t set the budgets ffs. He’s not even on the board and you act like he’s a one man show. Anyway, got f*** all to do the the original discussion. It was never about him until you decide to try and drag it all back up. -

“You can see (Doyle’s impact), it’s so clear,” Maresca said after the 3-1 win over Norwich. “The only problem with Callum, with Conor and with the defenders that we have, and I’ve said many times, not one of them is quick. “The way we play, with high-pressing… We have played more than 45 games this season and it doesn’t matter the opposition, even Premier League clubs. Against Chelsea or Liverpool or Bournemouth, we tried to press them in their box. “The problem is that you have to defend 50 metres in behind. And Jannik (Vestergaard) is not quick, Callum is not quick, Conor is not quick, Wout is the quickest one but is not very quick. So we try to adapt. But I love Callum. I love Conor.” -

Because the manager thinks we need some pace at the back, just as Maresca did. -

We have a board, a CEO and an owner all above Rudkin... but we'll just keep pretending they don't exist -
I'm afraid they simply don't know, all the reports etc use "could", "may", "upto". It's simply an estimate based on the numbers they DO know, and the population, and the amount of time. Could be more, could be a lot less... it's still disgusting and obviously one is enough. But lets say it was 1000... over a 40 year period that's 25 people a year. How many do you think we abused by the white population in that time? I'd wager it's a damn site more than 25 a year.
-
It said "claims" that up to 1000 could have been affected. Which, later in the article, is completely rebuffed by the police. "I have no idea how they have come to that figure.”

Welcome aboard. It's a nice place to be, actually. None of those ruined Saturdays when you lose, etc.

We might need you in a few weeks.

Joined up thinking is hardly the strong point of the club... I think they'd actually get people on board if they said "we've messed up and we need to sort it out". -

Or are we accepting that with a points deduction and little ability to navigate with transfers because of the finances, relegation is nigh on certainty and that the plan is to take the hit, get the finances back in order and go again next season in the championship? Who knows, it's certainly something quite a few people said could be one course of action. And the cheap signing of Cooper does hint at that. I doubt they'd ever admit it. -
Another one we can chalk up to Rodgers's total inability to create a defence that could defend set pieces. The answer seemingly being to sign the biggest bloke we can... see Vestergard and Souttar. Despite insisting on a high line and then continually hanging his defenders out to dry. What a joker.

He's focused on ensuring it does.

Don't forget, these people don't watch any news. It all comes from Elon and his right wing brigade on twitter. So they wouldn't really know if it's been on or not. The amount of times I read that Starmer said nothing about the Leeds issues a few few ago, when it's all there on the internet with a two second search.

I’ve not argued that they are two different types of protests. But with respect most of what has gone on has nothing to do with the deaths of those girls in Liverpool. A huge number involved are opportunists attempting to hijak their deaths for their own ends, and much of what you see has little to do with immigration. Smashing up Greggs, bottling police etc are just yobs out to smash stuff up and has nothing to do with any “cause” whether you agree with it or not. There are huge numbers of perfectly nice people who just yearn for a UK like the one they used to know. They might miss the finer intricacies of immigration, but not feeling at home on your home town is understandable.

Screams of "we've exhausted the list of scouted players we wanted, so we'll go back to Chelsea who said he was available when we sold KDH".
-
That's just ridiculous.

Better than Daka* * Just saying this to wind up @Finnegan

You don't think that's the case with a lot of what's happening now?
-
He didn't say "mostly peaceful"; he said, "most importantly peaceful". And yes they did loot and smash up loads of shops, there were riot police out in force charging them FFS. Reporters attacked. It might not have been on the current scale, but you can pretend it didn't happen. As with all these things, an element of people take it too far. There are plenty of people out protesting about immigration who aren't smashing stuff up. Just as there were for BLM.
-
Hmmm I think you might want to watch some of the videos back.
-
Oh, it will do; coppers are out there every day currently kicking in doors of people who have been identified as taking part in any trouble. When word gets around your casual louts will soon get back inside. When the numbers go, your proper scummy lot won't have the numbers and will also slink away back to their little holes.

Saturday 3 August v FC Augsburg pre-season friendly
Babylon replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
We might well finish bottom, but the facts are todays game is entirely meaningless in terms of a barometer for where we’ll finish. It happens every season, people cry about preseason results and say we are doomed, and plenty of times we’ve gone on and confounded those predictions.
