  1. You don't get trained to take a dozen punches to the head or getting your nose broken. All the training the world doesn't actually prepare you for getting punched does it. And he did look at him, the kick came as the guy started moving and looked in that direction, not that it makes that much difference.
  2. This is a very difficult case IMO, we are all commenting having been able to see the video and see the scene as it unfolded. Let's remember that the people there don't have that view or a rewind button. The policeman has already been attacked by 3/4 different people (depends whether you include the mother putting hands on him), has absolutely no idea if anyone else is going to go for him. He's been smacked goodness knows how mant times, has people screaming and shouting around him. He doesn't have eyes in the back of his head to see the other Policewoman with her taser out, won't know it's still attached even if he happens to see the cables in the comotion. He's already discharged his own taser on another attacker. Depends on the model but many police still use single shot tasers, so holding a taser doesn't mean it has another discharge or that it will work. Then we have to rememeber that this is in a secure area, I think most people know you don't f*** about at airports as their tollerance for stuff is far lower. It might seem excesive force to us all sat here, but if I was in the process of being attacked by three people, my personal tolerance for what's excessive would probably be raised a bit.
  3. You can still disrupt things that DON'T impact the general public just trying to go about their day. Whether that's disrupting government, small but high profile events etc. Glue yourself to stone henge if you want, or the gates of No. 10. Picking traffic and flights etc is something everyone is going to hate you for whether they are stuck in it or not.
  4. What goes through peoples minds, I know it's not easy to fill a load of time on TV... but really.
  5. Do they think people are sat in a traffic jam are thinking "wow they are right, I should give my my car to give the planet" or are they sat there despising everything to do with them. It's not getting ANYONE on side, to make a difference you need the people on your side. Raise as much awareness as you want, but if you are hated and despised by the masses it has zero impact. The people aren't going to pressure the government, they are going to cheer you getting run over and put in prison for half a decade.
  6. Williams about to Vomit then
  7. Amazing, they even managed to make the Eiffel Tower bit terrible.
  8. Guessing it’s on the Arc de Triomphe
  9. I thought ours was pretty good. This one has that 10 minutes before the Euros Final feel about it.
  10. Not surprised it’s been running for 25 minutes.
  11. Why do 99% of all ceremonies always come across like a 19 year old university student doing a degree in the Psychology of Fashion and dance have created the whole thing.
  12. This horse should have crossed the ****ing channel by now.
  13. Well I’m glad they aren’t dragging out this horse section.
  14. I think it’s a metaphor for this show… dumpster fire.
  15. Too late to let the Germans keep France?
  16. Jean Le Nnon getting a nod here.
  17. Yeah… this is terrible
  18. Nah... they are just young people saying hello and pointing you to your table etc. They aren't going to be answering calls or replying to emails.... they just go in the bin.
  19. People are boderline psychotic about £10 for a friendly and £25 for a plastic card... I'm going to hazard a guess they don't want that expense.
  20. Most clubs are charging... the glorious friendly between Derby and Shrewsbury is £5 for a one off match. It would be nice if it was free, but if you expect stuff for free ultimately you'll end up disappointed. I have no idea how they work out the costings and amounts they charge. For all I or anyone else knows Shrewsbury only offered up their streaming services for a significant sum of money. Or it's just another poor money grab from the club again. I simply won't be paying it to watch what are usually boring rubbish games anyway.
  21. Where did I say there was anything wrong with it? I would want a physical card for exactly that reason myself, we all go on holiday and get ill and can’t go down don’t we.** But the reality of it’s actually against the terms of your ticket and has been for a long time. So in the eyes of the club, there is something wrong with it. ** That said, there are also sadly a significant number of people holding onto tickets and just selling them off for most of the season. The season ticket seats near me used to change weekly, with the actual named owners only appearing for big games. Stuff like that really isn’t right when people can’t get a season ticket and want to go each week.
  22. Again, it's not entirely to do with cost. It's a price point they hoped would be enough to push more people digital. They will go digital, it's not going to stop. They want control over the peope going to games, they want the money from ticket resales (where they get paid for the same ticket twice). If people are honest, they want a physical card as it keeps that power in their own hands. Being able to sell a ticket to a mate when you can't go, or passing it off to someone. Digital takes that away.
