FA Cup 5th Round Draw - Bournemouth Away.

Leeds (A) Got a feeling. -
I watched that game. They weren't awful & Southampton didn't absolutely destroy them. In fact, I watched it thinking how the hell are Southampton still winning this. 3-1 scoreline was generous to that game itself. I think we'll win, but they aren't no mugs. Unless your on about when Southampton played them at St Mary's...yeh, that was a massacre.

Leicester vs Birmingham - FA Cup - Match Thread

Sounds likes it's going well. -
Fight for this country, nah I'm alright thanks. But it won't come to that.

We could probably give tickets away for free and we wouldn't completely sell out at home. But, sell away tickets for £50 and I guarantee we'd still sell out 90% of the fixtures. For every "that's too expensive, I'm not going in protest" kinda guy, there's probably 100 that will pay it. P.s, I wasn't starting an argument with you, not at all, I'm just not in awe of them selling 5k + away tickets when I know we'd do the same. Away support isn't genuinely the issue, it's our home support.
-
It's easy to sell away tickets. We'd probably take the same to their place if we played them 3pm on a Saturday. Everyone prefers an away day, especially to home game at the morgue we call the KP.

Yeah nightmare. I did put in for the Ausden Clark waiting list but I'd have thought we would have heard something by now if they were going to put on an extra coach. Like you, il just drive. Isn't exactly the worst journey from Leicester & it offers some freedom. I'm sure last time I went stoke away there was a pub within walking distance. Like a counting house style vibes. Anyone know it it's still there?

What I love about the FA Cup are the early stages where teams you've barely heard of get good ties. Teams like Arsenal playing away at stadiums with scaffold built stands etc. Once it gets to the latter stages, with the same old teams, I never watch it. Can't remember watching the final many times besides when we reached it.

Luke Thomas to Middlesbrough until the end of the season
adejo92 replied to DZ-LCFC's topic in Leicester City Forum
There's no chance he's a Premier League player & that's been proven again by being sent back by the Premier Leagues whipping boys. I'd say he's a Championship player at best so it's probably a good move for him to get some game time in and maybe even a permanent move come the end of the season. -
Very true mate. Yeah I'm sure we will. We can all agree that we don't condone it and that's all that matters hey.

I'd be surprised, because failing to provide is an offence in itself. It's the easiest offence for the police to get you because they don't even have to prove you were driving. It could transpire that you were not even in the car, but if you've committed the offence of failing to provide, It's a straight charge with the consequences being more a less the same as if you blew over the limit. I'd suspect that Hamza was being the typical arrogant footballer and more likely has refused to provide until he has been allowed to speak with his legal rep. Unfortunately for him, neither the road side or police station breath test can be delayed for the purpose of legal advice. Either way, it's one of those really isn't it. None of us know much factually, i don't doubt for one minute that a single person on here condones drink driving and Hamza isn't the first sportsman, and certainly won't be the last, to drink drive.

Careless driving : The offence of driving without due care and attention (careless driving) is committed when your driving falls below the minimum standard expected of a competent and careful driver. Alcohol aside, he's clearly been seen driving like a tw@t. likely the reason he was stopped and breath tested in the first place.
-
Not to mention the limit of 35 still means you can have a few beers and be only 'just over'... Some countries have a limit of 0. Even if he blew 36 and was 'just over' that's still a level of drunk Ness you would know about and would have made the selfish and conscious decision to still drive. His charge of driving without due care is almost of as much concern. That says he was driving badly, not just drunk. It's a completely separate offence.
-
Your either over the legal limit or not. Amount over doesn't affect it massively unless your stupidly over, and even then, not always.
-
Drink driving Is pretty black and white. Your either over the limit, or your not. The charge is the same. The ban length / sentence may vary but that's down to plea's, the persons offending history and the judge on the day. Obviously there is different severity in terms of driving fine but being drunk, or driving like an idiot whilst drunk...the fact that he was also charged with careless driving says there was something about his actual driving other than just being drunk.
-
I mean I doubt very much the Police could tell the club because of Data Protection. He's an adult. So either Choudhury hasn't told the club, which in itself is bad... Or the club knew & still played him.
-
Refusing to take a road side breath test is an offence in itself however he seems to have been charged with three offences. It seems he's refused to provide at the road side, resulting in him being arrested. When in custody, he's gone on the evidential breath test machine and blown over, hence his charge of excess alcohol. And the third charge of driving without due care would suggest there was something wrong with his driving prior to him being stopped .

I don't think they will. They are much better at home & Norwich aren't great away.

Despite having the best squad in the division (Considerably)...I do still feel that Enzo-Ball is a bit like Champagne football with lemonade players. We do play some good football at the back, and we do manage to create space, but we lack the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernado Silva & Rodri who have that ability to play that cutting pass when it reaches midfield. More often that not, we'll play some good stuff to get it into our midfield, but we then look a little bit lost and far too restricted to actually make anything of the move so end up having to go backwards and start again. It's nobody's fault that we don't have the players mentioned above, but you have to work with what you do have. Any one who thinks there is going to be wholesale changes within the squad next season are going to be very disappointed. We'll go into next season with a couple of new faces but it won't be any where sufficient to be successful (or even avoid relegation) if we persist on this style of play. Just my honest opinion.
-
Really? I thought for the amount they brought, they weren't very vocal at all.
-
As an attacking player, the law of averages says he'll get in goal scoring positions. My frustration comes from the fact that when he has the ball out wide, his first thought is always to pass backwards. He seems to only ever attempt to take on his man when he has absolutely no other option. Again, perhaps its a confidence thing. Anyway, that's my 10 pence put in anyway, can't be getting involved in pointless childish arguments, i'll have that in a few hours time when my daughter wakes up.
-
But he tried, he showed some attacking intent, and that's a minority. More often than not he gives full backs nightmares, just like Mavididi when he's on form. I don't think i've ever seen McAteer particularly offensive. When he's got no options, he'll try and beat his man. Again, just an observation and it brings me back to my original point, I am not sure if it's a lack of confidence, or ability.
-
Not disagreeing with you, but on the flip side, it's likely the most expensive, and definitely the most quality filled squad, to ever play in this division. I genuinely believe that any number of managers could have us sat exactly where we are currently sat. Not anti Maresca by any stretch, but i'll reserve judgement for next season, if we are promoted, to see how he deals in a league we'll actually have to 'compete' in.
-
Mavididi & Fatawu play the same position, to the same tactics, and are very offensive.
-
Without getting carried away, i genuinely think i could replace McAteer and offer more for the team offensively. Not sure if it's a lack of confidence, or a lack of ability, but how he manages to halt almost every attack is remarkable.
