This will be tough. I am glad Cannon has managed to bag a couple of goals, and some confidence because we we'll need to make the most of the chances that we will get. I think there will be chances in the game for both teams, and i can see there being a few goals, but i still see us coming away with at least a point, if not all three.

I think this thread alone demonstrates just how difficult it would be to please everyone. I don't think anyone's opinions on this thread are wrong, It just simply is a case of you will never please everyone. As a STH who has been to a lot of away games, including those abroad, i feel a bit p1ssed that i can't get away tickets....but on the same token, i don't for one minute expect to have the same privilege or priority as those that go week in week out. Ultimately, i think it's just a case of life's not fair.

I totally agree with your point that loyalty needs rewarding, and I take my hat off to supporters who go to every away game. On the flip side, it can't be such a closed shop. Just because all of the Uncle Albert's have been going for years, doesn't mean they get guaranteed priority for the rest of their lives. A rich get richer scheme & I doubt it'll chance. I'd love to go to Cov away, but it's not life's biggest misery missing out is it.

Missed the first half of the game so sorry if I've missed something, but Nelson looked quite good. Read the game well and was quick to beat the opposition to a number of balls. Cannon looked promising too. Looks to be growing in confidence. Thought he had taken it too wide for his goal but a great finish. I remember thinking "has Doyle made a successful pass yet" at the second he put Cannon through for the goal. Considering the number of changes, it's a cracking result even if we did make hard work of it. -
Because it seemed a couple of people genuinely believed that not only had I clipped one with my wing mirror, but also come on here to admit it. Thought I'd just further worry them by changing Cyclist to cyclist's. Perhaps I've hit a flock of them? Who knows? I didn't count?
-
It was the point that I was making. They are annoying, and a menace on the road, but I didn't expect people to genuinely think I've took one off with my wing mirror and then come on here to tell people I've done it. But yeh, the point was that they break all the road laws when it suits them but are the first to complain if a car doesn't given them about 3 meters when overtaking.

Cyclist's'
-
Cyclists. Mostly the ones who use the road up until using said road would cause them inconvenience such as a red light....then they will happily go onto the pavement. Oh but heaven forbid your wing mirror clips one! "Oh your too close". Can't win.

I totally get the sentiment with him, but he can't cut it in the Premier league and unfortunately, Sentiment counts for little in football.
-
I don't even live in hope. Only get a sniff at the ones the oldies can't get to without pissing themselves.
-
Oh dear, the granny shagging ogre sacked again. The likes of Rooney, Lampard & Gerrard should really just sit back and enjoy retirement rather than embarrassing themselves with these attempts at management.

Think we'll become significantly unstuck next season but not letting that ruin the enjoyment of this season. -

I think it's probably not so much that I've not noticed it completely, but I've never noticed it as a direct risk to our style of play and relative to the mistakes we make week in and week out. Right now, we forgive it because we just end up looking at the person sat next to us, raise an eyebrow & watch the opposition striker sail the ball out for a throw in. People will be less forgiving watching Mads pick the ball out his net after every dodgy pass.
-
I've never really noticed it, certainly to the extent I do now...but I've seen so many mistakes in the premier league so far, similar to the ones we always make playing out from the back, whereby they are always punished. Tottenham's first today for example. Not sure we fully appreciate how many mistakes we have gone unpunished for this season thanks to opposition strikers being horrific. Even Mads for example. I rate him but if some of his passing was against premier league opposition, he'd have been responsible for numerous goals conceded.

Nice comfortable win that. Well in control for the duration & could have had a few more goals on another night. Daka was sh1t. -
Haha oh dear Plymouth, that's very unfortunate.
-
Liking that. Choudhury always does a job when called upon and glad to see Justin in for Coady. Perhaps see Doyle for Justin for the final few minutes. Glad to see Daka keep his spot and with Nacho not there, fully expect Cannon to get the last 30 minutes.
-
Yeh I am pretty sure he's still out with a knee injury. But yeah, I agree. Whilst Enzo ball is growing on me, and I do think we are becoming more and more fluid with it, I do still think this style of play massively bottlenecks the true talent we have within our squad. We should be smashing these tonight, but I expect we'll make hard work of it and make these look much better than they actually are.
-
Its a good point. We've either started well and fizzled out, or started lame and then played really well. We really need to start putting in full 90 minute performances. It's strange, we are top of the league, absolutely flying, have essentially a premier league team.....yet I still can't feel confident about winning games like tonight....against Cardiff....whereby apart from Ramsey (who's winding down his career) ...most couldn't name another Cardiff player.
