Fuchs won't be more than a back-up next season. Chilwell is Puel's first choice and he played him the whole season. He must have seen something at the training sessions we don't. I'm far from giving up on him and, to the contrary of some he, think that he improved last season even if still hit and miss.

We're too short on CBs to realistically play with three at the back. Don't want Morgan at the back anymore and we need a back-up if Evans or Maguire are injured. We move on. Not entirely sold on Iborra and Silva either, they've been very inconsistent until now. Chilwell is still a bit of an enigma. 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 diamond is what what we're going for, in my opinion.

So that's the back four problem sorted now.

Really don't understand why some people are pissed off and considering a player who wants to go as some sort of Judas. Especially when it comes to Mahrez. I'm genuinely baffled by this misplaced outrage and the deluded belief in some sort of expected loyalty from a man who's paid to play for a club. Players come and go, that's how it always was. No matter what he might think, he's done here and the story has to come to an end. Him staying would be catastrophic from every point of view.

He's known for making shrewd signings and living up to his reputation until now. As for the "boring, uninspiring" myth (not directed at you), that's something I'll never understand. Unless one was in the dressing room or in training sessions, there is just no way to know he really behaves behind the scenes. Unless one is daft enough to base their opinion on the press conferences and other PR crap.

That's not how it works. If you want both of them you put them in a 4-4-2 diamond with Nacho and Vardy upfront and Maddison at the tip of the midfield.

The MC's have a lot of work to do. Chillwell as well as Silva must step up. If they do, we could actually see it next season as main formation. If not, 4-2-3-1 it is.

I actually agree with you. They missed their chance last season as Puel was on the verge of being sacked. Now it's over. If Puel, who has been backed up by the board, gets Maddison, Evans and another winger there will be only Vardy and Schmeichel as last big mouths starters. Selling Mahrez would help us to definitely turn the page and rely on the whole team to produce something instead of one player. Excited for the next season.
