It's a possibility but I honestly can't see it happening. There will be bids for him should the deal fall through. This story has dragged on for too long anyway, we would look bad from an outsider position and the atmosphere would be toxic in the dressing room. The january disaster was enough, he has to go.

I knew I should've written "might have stalled" to avoid you someone jumping at me. It's what I think, basing on what I read from both sides. It seemed to be a done deal to be announced the last week-end with no other player involved. Then Roberts suddenly (re)appears in the negociations. So yeah, of course it might be nothing or a reason why the deal is taking so long.

That was true for January. There was nothing that suggested that Roberts would be part of the deal in the current negociations. Every rumor about that was dismissed. Agreement seemed to 60M+add-ons. How much we don't know. That's what filtered from the news (and I'm not talking about the sun) and the itks (both ManCity's and ours)

We brought now Roberts in the deal so no wonder discussions have stalled. We're going to sell him, there is just no way he's staying one more season or sign any new contract. Player wants out and will get out.

Indeed. We generally do it here after one game. After that, we just wait for the bloke to fail and only notice what he did wrong. No matter how he plays, he's shit anyway.
