QPR (H) 1-2 Post-Match Thread
SouthStandUpperTier replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think the dog must've eaten our homework. -
I said he's one of our worst transfers in terms of 'value for money'. I don't think that's an unreasonable statement. He may be talented. He may have been unlucky. But he's undoubtedly NOT given much return on investment.
-
Ok. So please tell me, what exactly has he contributed in 5 years in return for the £18.4m outlay?
-
I was alive. And even taking inflation into account, Praet is still up there.
-
Got to be in the top 10 worst transfers in terms of value for money in club history. Maybe even top 5.

Premier League Thread 2023/2024

Why are people so quick to nosh off De Zerbi and rubbish Moyes, when Moyes is getting far more out of much less than De Zerbi has? -
Sunderland (A) - Tuesday 5th March - 7.45pm
SouthStandUpperTier replied to Nalis's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes. It's become too easy for the opposition to make the game 'stodgy'. And there's no point playing a system that requires two 8's now that we are almost out of decent options to play there. Play Nacho as a 10, KDH as the only 8. It would make us slightly light in midfield, but that may be to our advantage as it might invite a more open game. -

Perhaps it's time to try something less predictable/expected to throw the opponent off their game plan. Call me nuts, but I'd play Nacho as a traditional 10 just behind one of Vardy/Cannon/Daka. -
Ah, the catch-all "muskell problem" has hit the squad again.

I thought it already was in slo-mo.

I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing Bouba a happy, chilled out, relaxing, laid back 25th birthday today.

Loan fees are our best option for at least getting something back on the deal, whilst also saving a bit on his wages.

RIP Stanley Bowles, a genuine entertainer.

Was obviously 50% of the inspiration behind the Harry & Paul character, Rodney Bowles (Rodney Marsh providing the other 50%). -
He can look clumsy and fluff the odd sitter, but quite simply the team has functioned better as a whole with Daka leading the line, and the stats bear that out.

Former Villa, Southampton and Northern Ireland centre back Chris Nicholl. He made history at Filbert Street in March 1976 by scoring all four goals in a 2-2 draw between Leicester and Villa. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68395058

Who do you want for next season in the PL
SouthStandUpperTier replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Scored again today. That's 9 goals in 11 starts. Unfortunately I think bigger clubs with more leeway under FFP/PFS will probably swoop now. -

Drury disappeared up his own backside the moment he started screaming "Bofana Bofana!" when South Africa scored at the 2010 World Cup. -

EFL should've delayed the start of the season so Leeds could get their sh*t together
