  1. Sorry, got confused with Wellens.
  2. Big club - good youth players and he'll have contacts to bolster the squad with younger hungrier players. I honestly think if he can be prised from Germany, he'll be the man to rebuild you on a budget.
  3. Interested in Revell (look at his record at Orient as well as Stevenage - he's 'up and coming' and affordable. But the main man according to our insider is Wagner. Depends on whether he wants to leave Germany, but Leicester are the biggest club he's been linked with and our source has indicated he'd be willing to listen to an offer. No Russell Martin links - think he'll resume whatever's left of his managerial career abroad. Dave Challinor will go to Blackburn with his back room staff from Stockport. We did hear a rumour about names that haven't been mentioned on here - interestingly, Roberto Di Matteo was linked and so was Richie Wellens. I've been told they're not being considered.
  4. We've heard it's David Wagner. I work for a well-known sports broadcaster and Wagner fits because a) Out of Work so no compensation and b) Did a good job at Huddersfield and Norwich working on a shoestring budget. The only other one we've heard is interesting you is Alex Revell at Stevenage.
  5. Yay!! Wouldn't say "Let Go". That £12 million for Kasey must have come in handy somewhere? Happy, drunk and croaky - three of the better dwarves from Snow White!!!
  6. How did your lot lose 5-1 at Boro, Hornsy? I thought they were very one-dimensional when we had them a few weeks ago.
  7. We're a bloody difficult watch. Need to do a Sunderland if we do and buy a whole new first team.
  8. Is your ST still expensive? Mine's increased by £69 at Portman Road to nearly £500.
  9. Thank you. I think personally if we go up, we come straight back down again the next season but hey, we all have hope. Just can't believe it. I'm not a Leicester supporter but ****'s sake, that side should NEVER have been relegated.
  10. I'm sorry folks. Just sat there open-mouthed at how much better you looked when you tried. But this is all on the owner. Amazed he could just shrug it off, shake his head and then lead his bitch Rudkin by the nose back into the director's lounge for a light supper. Easy for me to say sat here in Suffolk, but this isn't the end. We've been there as well. You have to retain some hope that things will get better, even when it all goes to s**t. The good news is, most of your fan base seem to have the bollocks to demand change. The boos and the unrest was more noticeable on the telly. Shame a few still felt the need to clap. F*** 'em. They'll be dead soon.
  11. Cambridge United is like a cabbage patch - there's allotments behind the away end. Cambridge itself is nice although the ground is a fair way from the City centre (good twenty-minute walk) and, if coming by train, it's advisable to get a cab from the station. From memory, Bromley is a decent ground. Nice burgers. Luton is a nightmare although haven't been for a while. The away end backs on to houses and you often saw the unedifying sight of old women getting dressed through the net curtains after night games. I'd say Bolton, Huddersfield, Reading and Bradford have the nicest grounds. Won't be a patch on the KP though.
  12. Does anyone remember that game we played against you at Portman Road when it snowed heavily just before the match? Think it was just before Christmas 2010. Here it is on Youtube Well anyway, me and my mates were in the pub before and got so convinced it'd be called off that we just stayed there drinking. Then they put it on Sky and we rushed to the ground and I slipped and badly twisted my ankle. Mates helped me walk, but we all looked like The Snowman when we eventually got there. That was a bloody travesty. Think we had Roy Keane in charge and he intimidated the ref to play it as we led 2-0.
  13. That Prem season has completely deflated us. We were awful. Even compared to Burnley, Wolves and the Hammers/Spurs this time around, we'd have done a Saints and probably surpassed the lowest total. That's what we fear going up again, that somehow a lot of these players will be required to 'represent' us in the Premier and we've not bought well. You're right about the quality you possess, which makes it all the more difficult to really understand why you're struggling. We've got no-one I'd see in your starting line-up, yet perversely we play as a team. Take McAteer yesterday. The groans when he was announced were audible, yet he played a blinder. Not £12 million's worth of a blinder but he looked a lot better than he has recently. I'd be after Fatawu and JJ from you if we do go up. Top quality and we need better in midfield. I know JJ's on loan but the owning club can't fancy him. We've torn up our previous Championship promotion team and kept a lot of the players who failed so miserably in the Premier League and it's sort of worked. I do think a lot of that is on McKenna, yet some of our fans think he's come to the end of his ability and wouldn't mind a change of manager!
  14. Big ups to the three Leicester fans I met in the Cricketers before the PR game - we had a good chat about how expectations can often exceed reality. They were realistic but there's always hope. They blamed Top and Rudkin and the mess they made of the PL and relegation, and the points deduction. It was hard to argue with that, not that I tried. Just sad how a once great club is being put through the wringer. That said, I'll pop back on May 2nd to congratulate you on survival. Nothing I've seen points to anything else, and though a draw with us is no great barometer of likely success, I still feel you'll be OK.
  15. yeah, watched you draw 1-1 with us at PR a few weeks ago. Fully justified draw with neither of us playing that well enough to win it. Also saw the three you nabbed against us at KP earlier in the season. That was a depressing, Keystone Cops calamity of an away performance. We're currently second. You'd never believe that if you saw us. That's what I mean. Quality gets you a bit of a cheat code in this league. That and luck. You were all over Wednesday yesterday and should've won 5-1. Keep going with that mindset and you'll be fine.
  16. Oxford are crap though. Proper crap. Not just going through the motions. I think you're panicking unnecessarily. Yes, they have easier fixtures but they had one yesterday and only managed a point. That said, they managed to beat us 2-1 at the Kassam earlier in the season. Back when we were equally terrible.
  17. Still think it'll be Wednesday, Oxford and Pompey. You'll need to do us a favour and beat Millwall.
  18. Kasey McAteer scored for us yesterday and was MOTM. Great performance. That £12 million you managed to get off us is starting to look like a bargain
