Northumberland is all Newcastle really! I'm mates with 1 Sunderland fan,1Spurs fan and 1 Leeds fan.......it's hard to find anyone up here who are not Toon fans!

Newcastles catchment area is way bigger than than Notts/Derby/Leicester combined........it goes just above the river Wear right through Nortumberland and to the Scotish boarders.Can't remember a day when i didn't see a person in a Toon shirt up here!.......but i keep wearing my city shirt and have had a good few conversations about the state of our club!!

Only know about Solar for our camper Van,but it's suprising how long you can stay off grid with just a couple of panels and an inverter........sorry probably doesn't help you much! It's a shame what's happened to The Western......used to be a pool table and dart board at the side room and a big screen to watch the early kick off before going to our game.I think they tried to make it a bit too upmarket with the coffee shop type of thing and alieanated a few regulars(me included!)I think the 2 women on the door counting people in and out was the last straw for me(I'm sure they were the same 2 at the Peel) It was definately better when it was tied to Steaming Billy.

The cynic in me says there must be a 3rd division Burmese team who use this pattern and Adidas have just dyed it blue and stuck a sticker on the inside of the neck.I find it hard to believe that they have knocked this up just for us!

Used to be alot different in the 80's.I lived at the bottom of Groby Road and a walk into town involved The Robin Hood,The Friar Tuck,Cricketers,Foresters,North Bridge Tavern,Earl of Cumberland.Sanvey Gate Tavern,Joiners and The Ship.........and that was before you got to The Long Stop near the Clock Tower!

The Western was allways the one i used to go in,until i was counted in by the new owners.......never went back! Back in the day it was The Turney.
