Yeh I framed that confusingly given the thread title lol, I mean it is stuck because now I can only drink on weekends no matter what (unless on holiday obvs), This Thursday I am meeting a big group of mates at Bagatelle, love it there but I won't drink as it's Thursday. I've got loads of garden work to do on Saturday then driving in the evening so I won't drink hence 6-1 Next Thursday I have a big corporate do with all my people, free bar, will be loads of fun. But there's no way I'll be tempted to have a drink. Both weeks it's more sensible to drink thurs/fri. But once I say I'm gonna do something it becomes stuck in my mind with no flexibility.

I think he is framing it as a drink v non-drink day. I only drink fri and sat so also 'win' every week 5-2. This week I won't drink on Saturday so I am gonna win 6-1. Like you in my mid-20s I was working 7 days a week and 100 hours most weeks, so I used to drink everyday. You're young and pushing every boundary so it made complete sense then and was hugely enjoyable. I got a tiny bit more senior so now do not have to edit spreadsheets and v77 of proposal decks at 1am so started weekend only drinking, now it is a completely stuck habit which I am unable to break.

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

Not clear and obvious therefore no need to rule it out. Not a fault of the technology , the officials bottled it. If the same thing happened in Brighton v Villa in matchday 17 they carry on and the goal stands -
Do they refund you if that happens? Never heard that scenario albeit I can never book trains that far in advance

There's a person in my office who sits opposite to me and I have not said a word to in two years. Today in our team mtg the Director asked her to do something, she smiled and nodded. A few hours later another colleague asked her if she'd done said work, she smiled, nodded and had no idea what the work she was requested to do was. The whole situation is hilariously bizarre. On the plus side I did hear her voice today after two years.

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

That was brilliant entertainment. After watching the sh1te of champo football all season I forget that some teams have players who are 100% committed and supremely talented athletes -

'Renewable energy overtook coal as the largest global electricity source in 2025, driven largely by rapid solar and wind expansion in China and India. Both countries saw simultaneous declines in coal-fired power for the first time in decades, as clean energy growth met rising electricity demand. Globally, renewables supplied over one-third of electricity and met nearly all new demand.' China And India Cut Fossil Fuel Power As Renewables Overtake Coal In 2025 - ESG News 'Why should I be subjected to this nut zero b4llocks if China don't bother!!!' Yes that is a good point Mr H Clapper and another solid reason why you should vote Farage. Start coming up with your excuses as to why we gladly gifted the investment riches of the transition to China.

Yeh true but that's 'modern football' I guess. I still hear from old city fans going on about 'in my day' how the team would be sh1te but they'd turn up mob handed in fancy dress, inflatables, abuse the team, abuse David Pleat, fight each other and have a great day out. This game on a bank holiday weekend, sun is out, round the corner from Blackpool would be a great chance for a muck-up like that. Either the old happy clappers were exaggerating or this generation is as dull as dishwater and 'modern football' really has been killed.

Additional season tickets for existing holders
grobyfox1990 replied to skmanuk's topic in Ticket News and Travel
WOW, I remember the days on this site when there were threads on whether posters would get a new ST or not, then celebrating when they got one. Now we're throwing them away to Aunt Brenda Nout and all of her second cousins to boot. -
It's social media, would not take any of the so called abuse seriously,. But the bolded paragraph is exceptionally, incredibly and disturbingly true. I cannot remember the amount of times happy clappers like that Kettering guy and Lakoyne said they're done with the club, but somehow still knew much more about the club than fans like myself, and then come back 13 mins later to re-emphasise they're done with the club, for years on end. And you know all these happy clappers pronouncing they've given up all ties with the club and instead go to breakfast with their mates will be queuing up for tickets at some point.

Good point. But still think there's a difference between two games to go and the actual final game away from home against a team that is also done, and their table in Ushuaia Ibiza is tonight rather than next week. But we shall see

Can you imagine what training must've been like this week. Sorry, 'training' A manager, staff and group players who know on Saturday afternoon they'll have cut all ties with this club and will never think of it ever again. A will watch bits of it just to see what kind of farce this match will be
-
Hahah that would be hilarious

Haha, do you follow the bulls or are aware of their results? They have been really good this season, I can't believe they got into the playoffs. Although ofc they are well funded and some people say because they play on astro they have an advantage because other teams aren't used to the surface. I'm not sure how true that is but it does sound believable. I recall their CEO saying the difference in facilities and professionalism at step 4 groundds compared to step 5 is huge, that was surprising but good to hear.
-
Jersey bulls lose on pens in the step 4 playoffs. Quite dramatic shootout although I missed the 90 mins as a lot stayed in hospitality to watch PSG v Bayern which was incredible. The playoff final is afc Croydon (stormzy) v whyteleafe on Friday. Two teams who came up with the bulls from step 5 last year. Perhaps showing the gap between step 5 and 4 is small

Lol no, we don’t ’both know’ in this conversation. If you’ve structured onshore assets to be ATED compliant then yes maybe we do ‘both know’ but you’re just copy/pasting slop from ChatGPT without any real world experience. You’re second para Lol - so we’ve come full circle. Yes, to be a successful landlord is complex and not within the remit of a simple-minded anxiety ridden happy clapper, and not just re tax efficiency. That’s what I’ve been saying all along.

Nope the point still stands, by your book you’re an idiot if you either buy or lease an asset which is worth £50k and you leave switched off 95% of the time.
