  1. Is there a foxestalk landmark soon, 20 years 25 years? I remember first browsing this site when I was at school and I'm a long way off school now so there must be
  2. Tbf would like to go to that region, Bordeaux and down to Bilbao. Keep hearing about all the Michelin star chefs in Bilbao and need to explore it. Lol the trade between France and jersey is hilarious. They send their boats to us loaded with drugs. Jersey people on the commercial ferry back from st malo stocked up with laundry powder, washing up liquid, various household goods because it’s so much cheaper there
  3. That’s excellent, very jealous!! Have a great trip
  4. I find France an incredibly dull and overpriced holiday destination, would rather spend a few days on the British coastline for scenery, or cities for food and good times. However St Malo/Dinard is actually nice, it's a common after work dinner trip or weekend booze day from Jersey if someone is willing to take their boat out. Dinard got written up in the FT today - Why the ‘Cannes of the north’ is back in vogue
  5. Why am I getting picked in for this bro’s. Gonna have to make an effort to stop saying it now 😔
  6. I won a bit of work from an existing client at work. The absolute drone happy clappers in compliance were too stupid and lazy to onboard it in time so I did the work ‘for free as a sign of our ongoing relationship.’ Wildly p1ssed me off as it affects my numbers due to incompetence of happy clappers. Well today it all worked for the best as the client said they’ll donate a proportion of the proposed fee to a charity of my choice. The bridge is far more deserving of the fee than my company
  7. Happy clapper is a flexible term. Dunno what I’m saying tbf
  8. No idea what happy clapper actually means but it is a hilarious term. You do sound like a happy clapper as an addendum to this post
  9. Expertly written. One of my friend's was there, his increasingly rambling messages and videos into Monday morning made it clear he had a great time. I went to the Azteca for a match in 2023, it is an incredible arena
  10. I wrote a post pretty much exactly like this yesterday! I follow your trajectory almost exactly. After WC 2014, coinciding with city getting good and working/partying more I lost interest. Culminating in the semi final in 2021 when Kane scored the pen and I almost stood still at Wembley. Mexico game was brilliant, really up for Saturday now. Maybe it is coinciding with city becoming useless again. Thankfully I have not become one of those happy clappers who translate the loss of hope, ambition and energy in their own lives to 'modern football being a shambles mate it's all a shambles lost love of the modern game shambles'
  11. I thought I was becoming a down-on-life, bedraggled happy clapper during the Southgate years as I was not bothered at all about England, despite it being the best period of performance in my lifetime. I tried to be interested but I couldn't. At the semi final in 2021 I wanted Kasper to save Kane's pen and barely celebrated at the ground when he scored. Well back into it after last night and looking forward to sat night. Just like my teenage years.
  12. Now have a spare ticket to the t20 in Bristol on Thursday night, if anyone is interested please let me know
  13. As above try the FT, there is good insight in the comments
  14. True, bbc isn't really news anymore, superficial at best. You should check the comments section on articles on the FT, really good insight, often better than the article IMO!
  15. TV Game Selection Process - The English Football League Fixtures up to end of September 'should' be announced today
  16. That was my first ever game. Found and bought the programme online a few years ago
  17. I would definitely like to do that, I know someone who goes with other city fans. I saw they have a friendly v Sheff U on sat 1 aug which hasn't been ruled out as a trip yet
  18. Drinking in Germany is so good. Your comment has prompted me to aim for a Bundesliga game next season around Jan/feb time
  19. In Europe it would be the clubs. Rest of the world it would be the countries, because the best players play in Europe. Best team in the world full stop is PSG for me.
  20. Yeh a lot of the modelling done is poor. Coz it didn’t go far enough!!!!! We reached 40 degrees in the uk in 2022 lol. You can do your own climate scenario modelling for free on some websites. It’s….interesting….
  21. ‘Falsemess’ is harsh. I’ve no reason to believe these people at the pinnacle of their careers do not truly believe their god has guided them there. I respect that about truly religious people, they think everything is guided by god, good or bad. Remember being in Dubai about 10 years ago and our related investor group got hair cut to zero on a transaction. Their genuine reaction was ‘inshallah’ (god willing) and didn’t sweat it after that. Great way to live imo
  22. Ah yes I defo remember that
  23. Didn’t Chris wood score a hat trick there in early 2013?? Or was that Ashton gate. That period is a mush
  24. Yep good analysis. Went to the tower, steps to the top of the cathedral, various churches, the opera, a lake, botanical gardens, some decent breweries and bars. All in a perfect advert for a cheap and inoffensive Ryanair trip
  25. What is all this 1976 lark. I’ve never heard a single happy clapper talk about 1976
