  1. That's a great point. The herding principles of the basic man on the street will see some loon on Twitter shouting about something, so they'll shout about the same thing. They'll have no way of empathising with Americans, or Brits facing the budget on Wednesday, but have formed an opinion on it and start shouting about it. Whereas if you met a yank or a Brit on the street you'd likely empathetically listen to which way they are voting, and would not be so stupid as to think you know better about their life than they do. That link is nuts, just shows the only winner in all this is media $$$
  2. I think the labour campaign was refreshingly different, they didn't do much, just let the car crash of the Tory party speak for themselves. Since 2016 media outlets have figured out that you can split people into 'left' and 'right.' The 'left' can tell you how clever they are and the 'right' can tell you only they can save the world from further destruction and media makes tonnes of cash. When in reality we're all a bunch of slaves who exist for a pay cheque from our overlords to pay bills to our other overlords. It's a shame us as a population are so stupid that we've bought into it all with such gusto. You'll have people on here who've likely never set foot in the USA thinking the yanks are idiots for voting Trump. Unimaginable levels of stupidity.
  3. The pitch is simple to understand and very similar to Labour's. The Harris campaign is similar to the amateur rubbish we saw from Sunak in July and leading up to Wednesday's budget. GOP - 'We've both had the same amount of time in office, where you better off under me or her.' Dimocrats/Tories - 'he's gonna ruin the world, you have no idea how bad it'll get!!!' Lots of people - 'Life is quite bad for us right now dude' Fortunately for us, Starmer is a whole lot more impressive than Trump.
  4. Aye true and I’ve just noticed your username so I get your position on this. You’re clearly forthright in your view which is cool but I’m still yet to hear a decent argument for voting FOR Harris. I’ll be back and have time during the Xmas home matches, we should slam a few beers with Guesty from the atmosphere thread and dr Singh. Once a prowling Phil bowman has vindicated me via an emoji I’ll be happy!!
  5. Well not really. Because you talk about trying to one up the buyer and the agent, so that could be a feint from your side. But then it also seems you’re angry, so you may have fainted. Spelling error or linguistic genius!!
  6. Reality is biting for them, right now. Much like it did for many of us in the uk. It’s also frustratingly annoying how the Harris campaign works on trump rhetoric. All of his vote winning policies = he’s lying, he won’t do anything. All of his conservative policy = omg he’s gonna kill the world!!! Funny how he’ll be competent enough to destroy the world, but nothing else. Woeful campaign and they’ve a lot to answer for
  7. But those working families crushed by inflation will happily understand that. We saw in July that campaigning on the current administrations ineptness is sufficient.
  8. Im genuinely trying to figure out if you mean feinted or fainted
  9. It’s not surprising imo, bezos owns them. Plus the Dimocrats haven’t made a case as to why you should vote for them. Apart from ‘the other side is bad’ - woefully poor campaigning
  10. This is more my opinion. You have huge parts that have just been left behind, I’ve been all over the world and I’ve never seen poverty like it in the USA, contextually anyway. It’s like they packed off the industry to Mexico and the far east, shut the lights and forgot people still live in these towns. That and the fentanyl crisis ofc
  11. Don’t think he’s clever enough to believe any of that. He only respects money and power, regardless of gender or race, which makes him the perfect American leader. I don’t think he likes the all American man on the street more than the Saudis because of skin colour, hence he was cosying up to the Saudis on his first term.
  12. Yep totally agreed. I can’t wait for next Tuesday. It’s gonna be proper YOOOESSSSAAYYYY style entertainment. Wish I could be in nyc for it. In 2016 I was working in Washington on election night and it was unforgettable drama
  13. Yeh agreed, she’s frustratingly terrible. She even managed to turn a Beyoncé appearance into a bore fest. I said it earlier in this thread, I have no idea how an undecided could be swayed by her. It’s like me voting for a Tory such as penny mourdant or Shaun Bailey last July
  14. They’ve created a singing section and barely anyone sings. If they create a whole stand of safe standing it’ll be full of kids in tracksuits on their phones. Then the next excuse will be ‘ticket office is a shambles mate they don’t care we need the stadium turned upside down that’s the only way there’ll be atmosphere clubs a joke’ The list of excuses to avoid the fact people don’t want to sing is pathetic: clappers, goal music, pre match music.
  15. Yeh fair enough it’s not a pound for pound comparison. However I’m not sure you can call that south stand ‘everyone in one place.’ Only a small amount appeared to be making a noise
  16. Strangely enough I was at pride park today (don’t ask). They aren’t loud at all. Much like us just loads of kids in Adidas sambas playing on their phones. Rail seating was cool though
  17. Went to maurizios pre match today. Great food and beer at reasonable prices.
  18. Utilitarianism for me. For every 1000 odd cold blooded scumbags like this who die, 1 or 2 innocents who die as part of the collateral damage that overall makes the world a better place for the majority is fine. Much like we accept a few deaths on the motorway now and then so we can all get to places quicker.
  19. This is a great rant but the point you’re making was noticeable to me tonight. I sit in A1 and regularly look at the singing section, today it was clear only 20 people were singing and waving flags.
  20. @guest123 - Guesty what did you think of that tonight?
  21. Yeh the loot is gone now because we f4cked it all down the river
  22. Yeh but that’s like someone stealing all your family wealth, leaving you on the street, then fantastically f4cking up their stolen position of privilege as an excuse for not making good on their loot. Reparations would be way to hard to quantify so will never happen, would be a dream for advocates, forensic accountants and valuation tho. Great fees
  23. Yeh I get where you are coming from. The initial post reminded me of internet idiots saying things like 'the Jews run the world' because of their positions of power in public and private life, despite their lower overall mass and voting number. I thought that was what your post was hinting at, but replacing Jews with evangelicals, now I see your username I apologise and realise that is defo not your stance! Void the comment.
  24. That is a completely different subject, you've moved from 0-100 into an ideological debate. Trump is appealing to a core demographic, who could swing this election, by praying with his party in a church. Unless you believe covid was faked, Lucy Letby is a saint and Hurricane Helene was due to cloud seeding, there is nothing more sinister in that picture. And the belittling of it will only swing the core away from the Dims. Furthermore, this is the West. We legislate our morality across the world on a daily basis. See Starmer in Samoa.
  25. This was during a prayer meeting at a church. Evangelicals and Christians barely vote, the sneering at their way of life and prayer is probably why.
