Does it work how it is intended to in the Prem this season? Ie. Breaches are punished in the year they occurred, so could we get a points deduction this season. If we are found to have breached the rules for this year? or does it work differently in the Champ? aprreciate this report is to do with last March’s findings. But what about this years submission?

Would have him ahead of both. Much higher ceiling than McAteer, and Yunus won’t be here next season.

Wonder if Seville or Bologna are likely to trigger the option to buy clauses for either Bouba or Kristiansen respectively. Both seem to be regulars and appear to have performed okay… I know they likely won’t or will at least try to renegotiate with us (insert joke about Torino offering 20p & pizza for Dennis here). However, looking online the option to buy for Soumaré is €15m. So if he has a remaining book value of €12m to us, that would still represent a small profit? And theoretically, could that happen before the end of June to be counted in this years accounts or not?

According to Fabrizio it’s only £4m if he doesn’t start 10 games and manage x amount of minutes. If he does it suggests there isn’t a loan fee. Fulham also appear to have loaned out Carlos Vinicius to Gala. So not a bad deal all told for Fulham, presuming Broja goes straight into their XI.

Agreed now the Sensi move has fallen through, Sammy is probably our next best alternative to Winks in that DCM position. Hopefully he can get fit and get some minutes towards the back end of the season. Carlos Alcaraz is leaving Saints for Juve. Would’ve thought that would weaken them quite a bit, but having looked he’s not played too many full 90’s for them, seems to have rotated quite a bit so maybe not…

Looks like Antwerp have agreed to sell Vermeeren (CM) to Atleti for €22m. Hopefully they come in with a bid and take Dennis off our hands this window now.

From that looks like Ricardo RB and Hamza in the 8 role… but wouldn’t be surprised to see that reversed?!

Agree. I think what people are forgetting is with the obligations for Fatawu and Yunus if we go up and they play X% of games, which it looks like they might meet. That’s c. £23 spend already. Add to the Doyle who I reckon we might end up signing next season, is another c. £15m. Thats £38m nett spend before we’ve even improved this seasons team. Add to which we’ll ideally also need another LW, ST, CM, LB and CB as a minimum. Means it’s going to be tough to get in who we want given what we’ve potentially already committed to spending in the summer.

Yeh can’t see them activating the option to buy at the end of the season. Bologna’s record transfer is €15m. So at the price Victor would be more or less their record signing. A lot of money for a LB.

Made 18 appearances in total, starting over 60% of the time. So definitely a starter for them.

Ahh okay makes sense, wasn’t sure if it would all be booked in the accounts immediately or whether it would be done every 6mths because of the 2 transfer windows. In the last 6mths of his contract, anything is better than nothing

So I assume we can therefore work out what we need to receive in order to break even/ sell our players then… Praet - final year of contract, £1.7m now? Soumaré - £8.5m now, or £6.8m in the summer Thomas - academy player, so anything above £0. Kristiansen - £9.8m now, or £8.7m in summer Souttar - £12.2m now, or £10.9m in summer Ward - £1.125 now or £750k in summer? Anything less and we won’t do it because it would be recorded as a loss in this years accounts. Based on that list Thomas looks the easiest to sell. Would also imagine Soumaré and Kristiansens options to buy in the summer take this into account *Could probably do with someone checking these workings though
