What a game that was in Seville. France had a wonderful team including Platini, Tigana and Giresse. The horrific tackle notwithstanding, France were 3-1 up at half-time of extra time, but the Germans being the Germans pulled it back to 3-3 and won the penalty shootout. Thankfully they lost to Italy in the final. But that great France team that were so wronged in '82 at least went on to win Euro '84.
