Councils have been set up to fail deliberately since the Tories took power. Funding has been cut but responsibilities save obligations have increased. Add to that sunak and Johnson taking funds from poorer areas and giving those funds to more wealthy (Tory voting) areas and it's a recipe for financial failure. The end goal here is to allow the irreversible privatisation of all areas of our lives. Just look at the plans in place for already bankrupt councils.
