This. 1 million times this. Everything we do is like a bloody rollercoaster, but Christ on a bike, our twenty years or Tottenhams or Fulham’s, or pretty much every other club outside the usual suspects.

The PL should be told to explain how the process of elevating a club from promotion from the Championship (Or lower leagues in reality, for completeness) to competing at the highest levels works, as they are viewed (perhaps incorrectly) as some overseer across the entire league structure (Via solidarity payments to all league levels) and should be asked to clarify how this competitions integrity is preserved under their funding. Of particular interest is how a new PL entrant could hope to aspire to further success (or as should be obvious in reality is if the ultimate destination for any club in the PL's eyes, is arrival at the PL and no further)

He is a good player with some high and low points, but any player is judged on "moments" by fans (incorrectly) and if you have a few bloopers on your highlight reel, you are beyond retribution - bit weird really.

Interesting, suppose a clubs relevance remains until most of those in the industry with some ties to it pack it in. Imagine their last period down the leagues did them some longer term damage to their reputation, and as you say, the other night was pretty shameful.

Not sure they are thick, but they are so focused on what brings them the most money, these small details are given minimal attention.
