But it could well bankrupt a club which cocks it up, and it seems a little at odds to PSR.

Isn't a side effect of breaking these rules that you gain a perceived unfair advantage over your competitors thereby causing those competitors fans to suffer through relegation or lost position or prize money?

Pleading injustice in the face of known rules does not look like its for the greater good. By all means take every opportunity to challenge them, but not when you are charged with breaking them.

Everton fans shouting the “don’t punish the fans” line, and although I understand - how else are you supposed to enforce FFP/PSR without unintentionally punishing the fans of the guilty club?

If Everton/Forest broke the rules, impose the allotted penalty, it should be a simple penalty, you broke the rules with bad accounting, lose 4/6/8/10 points, but keep it consistent. Man City is obviously very different as it is not bad accounting, more so a very bad actor, complicit in seeking to actually circumvent the rules of a competition at many levels. However, like refereeing, I am not convinced the drama of these events is not a key part of this serialised fume circus.

Was thinking we would need an earlier than normal sub, but beyond Hamza, I just couldn’t see who is available and could help tbh I am not at all interested with the reactionary posts, as nobody wants us to lose but although we aren’t managers, if people think something isn’t good enough, they must have an idea what could have prevented the observed failure, or is that unreasonable ?

What do you imagine we should have done? Maybe see leaving Steph on, but he wasn’t great and with no decent opposing winger, it probably made sense to ditch him to maintain some balance and go more narrow.
