Just wait for his contract to run down, then watch him bag for us against them at Turf Moor.

Be pointless paying that much for a player with a year left on his contract. Same with Tarkowski as well. Stick it out for a few months and try with Amartey and Benkovic.
-
He’s an improvement on Ünder, happy with that.
-
And if they had accepted it?
-
Well it’s not going to be us is it, we have no money!
-
Is he still first choice? @themightyfin
-
Nope...just a standard one, no third party apps or anything.

I know I know, not the worst thing in the world but I just found it to be bizarre. Any new accounts I try and create are also being blocked.
-
Haven’t done anything dodgy but have so many pictures and memories on there which are supposedly gone without a prior warning.

Anyone had their device (I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max) banned from using Snapchat? For no reason as well I may add.

The way he’s talking/acting in that video and then talking about Matt Mills, how ironic. No wonder he never made it anywhere, what a waste!

Josh King in January for a minimal fee would be decent.

If we’re in the free transfer market then Ryan Fraser and a slightly audacious ‘Cambiassoesque’ move for David Silva.
-
Davis has killed us off today, 20 short anyway.
-
Notts 45-1 already, Hales tearing Davis apart, not looking good!

This Welch lad doing the business for the 2s, intrigued to know why it would be difficult to snap him up? Also, Evans (bowler) for the 2s looks like he throws down a heavy delivery, would give him a crack too. Shame Dearden is being offered a new deal, waste of money. Apart from Ali and Javid, who else is likely to leave?

Agree with you on that. The treatment of members is a totally separate issue. If I was the CEO and offering free tickets, I’d ask the members what they’d want in return. Any ideas?

I was 13 at the time but I don’t recall us making a big deal of having Sehwag at the county. I went to watch him and Afridi though, only because I followed the Foxes and knew they signed them through Teletext/Internet. We didn’t maximise their signings at the time, and now it’s a lot easier to reach out to a bigger population. Back in the late 90s early 00s, the Indian community weren’t willing to spend as much as they do now. Going into town and spending £10 on a cup of coffee and a slice of cake was unheard of. If we offer something similar alongside a match ticket, crowds will increase. To be able to sell a product it has to be attractive and affordable, watching a Leicestershire match is neither. I agree the senior citizens should be targeted, but most of the elderly in the Indian community are scared to leave their homes let alone attend a cricket match. Generally speaking, fixtures and timings are big issues. Indians are hardworking, career focused people, watching cricket during standard working hours will never be considered, very rarely on days off. I think free tickets need to be issued. Bums on seats is surely better for revenue than empty ones? Also, we need to sell ourselves, both through social media and on the streets. I only live 15-20 mins away from the ground, not once have I seen an advert/poster for any of our games...never! If we have 50k followers on Facebook, surely we should be able to attract 10% of that for our RL50 and T20 matches.

To get the Asian Community involved, we need to sign a quality Indian cricketer, make him our poster boy, use him for marketing purposes by going round to Melton Road, talking to people particularly the wealthy business owners, offering free shirts/tickets etc. I’m no fan of Keith Vaz, and his power has deteriorated somewhat after his recent scandal(s) but get him involved, these people are highly influential in the community. As a club, we are simply not out there, publicly we have no presence. Indians love getting more than value for their money, we don’t really offer anything at the moment which would make them want to come to Grace Road and spend that cash, because their is likely to be no return. Another example of poor marketing and links with the community is that last Thursday, we had our annual Sports Awards ceremony at a secondary school in the city. We asked for 2 cricketers from LCCC, as high profile as possible to come in and present some awards, make short speeches. The club sent Aadil Ali, Harry Swindells and Dips Patel. Their career highlights VT lasted less than 30 seconds. Both made decent speeches but that was it. Tickets for nominees on the night? Shirts? Signed merchandise? Nothing! Now imagine that had been Nixon and Abbas, the students would’ve gone berserk, the excitement and pull would’ve been there because they’ve met 2 genuine superstar cricketers who are known to them. Shame!
