Expected that mate, no different to 2012 really. I'll be a lot more worried if this time next year we report similar figures. I'm quite certain that Wasim Khan will Be able to make 2/3 key sponsorship deals, including that of Grace Road, which will bring in a much needed healthy amount of income.

Some of the basic things that Hooky mentioned, how crazy is it that the club weren't doing it before, we were so terribly run, thankfully it already looks like we've turned a corner.

Andrew McDonald confirmed as new Head Coach, seems like he will carry on playing state cricket in Australia, interesting to see how that will work.
-
Interesting that a few of the players have said Andrew McDonald practically coached Leicestershire to their T20 triumph in 2011. That's how much of an influence he was at the club then, albeit he had some valuable experience around him with Paul Nixon also part of that side.
-
Brilliant news that Wasim Khan has joined us, if there's anyone who can turn the club around it's definitely him. Also, on Wednesday or Thursday, Leicestershire will confirm Andrew McDonald, former player and Aussie, as the clubs new Head Coach.
-
Said it on numerous occasions already that I don't understand how we gave him a new 2 year deal, that was down to Whitticase though, who at the start of last season said 'Naik can play for England this summer'.
-
No way we'd get a spinner. Already have Sykes, Naik and Sayer.
-
Agree with Bert, until things ACTUALLY get done, and quickly so we are in good shape for the start of next season, it's all just promises. Many broken promises in the past. Need to get the Head Coach and CEO position sorted as soon as possible, and bring in 3/4 more players.
-
Academy Director definitely more suited to his abilities and experiences, we may as well utilise him in that role rather than pay him his hefty redundancy package. Also, he's done well in that role in the past so can't think of anyone better to take up that position really. Andrew McDonald has been approached to become Head Coach, and the club is in discussions with Mark Cosgrove to captain us in all 3 forms next season.
-
Nixon won't be coming in tomorrow that's for sure, I'd love that to happen one day though. The timing of the new contracts/signings announcements suggests the club wants to make it seem like things are going in the right direction, which they may well be, but drastic changes still need to be made. I hope the members put that point across tomorrow. Phil Whitticase leaving would be great. HD Ackerman in a possible coaching role? He has offered his services. Should get more clarification on the Neil Davidson saga, and hopefully when the new CEO will be appointed, which has to happen very soon if we want to build the foundations for next season.
-
He's definitely signed for T20, not confirmed by club yet. Also, we want him to play all forms, but that's subject to clearance, which shouldn't be a problem.
-
Actually, I was surprised to see he's lost a lot of weight recently, looked terrible before but average now.
-
Leicestershire have signed Aussie batsman Mark Cosgrove, initially on a T20 contract for next season, but subject to clearance, he will play Championship and One Day cricket too. Cosgrove holds a British passport, so can sign as a Kolpak player, not an overseas player. Charlie Shreck has also signed a contract for next season.
-
No idea. Prepare for worst, hope for best!
-
Some signings tomorrow apparently.
-
If everything that's being said in that article happens to our County, the place will be buzzing with optimism.
-
Josh Cobb has signed for Northants today, Clint McKay deal looks like it may not happen, and we lose to Essex in 2 days, what a terrible day! Greg Smith likely to join Notts, has an offer on the table, Eckersley may stay, offer from Essex withdrawn.
-
That can't be true.
-
Exactly, I've been saying this about Naik for weeks. I can't understand why we keep on playing him, got blocked by him on twitter for saying he shouldn't have got a new 2 year contract!
-
Michael Thornely has been told he won't be offered a new contract at the end of this season. He's played some excellent match winning innings for the 2nd team this season and deserved more opportunities in the 1st team, especially with Eckersley and Smith so inconsistent this year.
-
The players we are losing have been here for a few years and done nothing, they may well develop elsewhere and go on to play at international level. For us though, it's a blessing they've rejected us and gone elsewhere, we bring the right people in, which is possible even with our financial constraints, and we can definitely pick up some wins next season, which is all I want. Our current squad may have come on leaps and bounds next season with an Aussie coach and overseas player, but a lot of them would still mentally have to find a way of winning matches on days 3 and 4, that's not easy to do when you've struggled for 2 whole seasons. I'd rather we sign 5 new faces with a fresh outlook and mentality, not impossible to do.
-
Here here! Also, I think the overseas player is a batsman but don't hold me to that.
-
I'd love it to be him!

We are also after an Aussie to become coach.
