  1. So nearly. Fuchs is so much better attacking wise than Chiwell!! Fuchs!!
  2. How was that not a foul on Ricardo! And what about that turn by Soy! He is better than Maguire!
  3. Maddison - so wasteful with his decision making. He is so far from Mahrez. Mahrez would have played in Vardy in each of those two glorious opportunities! Barnes on please!! Also Ndidi off for Albrighton. I think Hamza is doing much more than Ndidi this game so I would keep Hamza on.

  5. You know that one person hogs all corners - Maddison - and yes he has never been good. He lacks the foot power to get over the first man. And when he hits it really hard he loses accuracy. He needs to build foot strength first before taking on the duty again, but unfortunately he will continue to take them until Rodgers tells him not to.
  6. We cannot let Evans, Soy and Schmeichel to be our main ball players for the second half! Come on. Rodgers has to change something to get our best ball players - Tielemans, Maddison and Perez into positions to play the ball back out from the back more. No point to have them on the pitch when they dont get the ball. Maddison seriously needs to stop taking corners. As discussed last week. Barnes and Albrighton on ASAP.
  7. Chelsea’s pressing has been superb. We can hardly get the ball to Tielemans, Perez and Vardy. Somehow, our players seem to be out of position. We need Barnes and Albrighton on for Maddison and Perez.
  8. Wow. At this rate it will be a 5-0 Chelsea win. Come on Leicester.
  9. They only changed this particular aspect of the rules for handball which leads to a goal. They also changed the rules to say that if the position of your hand/arms makes your body unnaturally bigger, then it is a foul. So the way they will judge this for defenders re penalties will be different. Let’s see.
  10. This is not VAR. This is the new handball rule. VAR got it absolutely correct in accordance with the rules. If you dont like it, change the rules. Nothing to do with VAR.
  11. I wont be surprised if you are right about us paying his wages. I reckon Top would want to do it for Kingsy, who has been such a loyal servant and seen it all together with Khun Vichai and Top.
  12. This is a good point. Rodgers seems to be a better man manager.
  13. I agree with you that it was right to remove Puel. I suppose it was also very smart of Top to bring in Rodgers if you would agree that he has similar philosophies but is better - at least we would not be like Man U wasting all this money on different players to suit different styles of the managers.
  14. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/08/16/brendan-rodgers-tells-islam-slimani-adrien-silva-free-leave/ It is interesting that the players that Rodgers like or don’t like turn out to be exactly the same as Puel. Both Slimani and Silva were sent out on loan by Puel and both also do not get a look in by Rodgers. Similar story for Diabate. On the other hand, players heavily used or brought through by Puel - eg. Chilwell, Barnes, Maddison, Ndidi, Ricardo, Tielemans, etc (except Gray) continue to be the focal players for Rodgers. Puel also talked a lot about playing on the ground more, more possession, etc to our style of play. Same as Rodgers (although Rodgers also emphasise “urgency” much more which is good). It seems there are a lot more similarities between Puel and Rodgers than many would like to admit. Who knows, with more time, Puel may have done a lot better but he suffered from a lack of trust, his language barrier and resistence to change. Some may say he also had quite a few blind spots which pulled him back from being able to take us to the next level. These blind spots gave quite a few of us a lot of frustration last season: that we saw greatness in the team (and we saw glimpses of that for example during Xmas of 2018) but yet the team somehow just couldnt get out of third gear. Having said that, although I believe they have similar football philosophies, Rodgers is definitely an upgrade from Puel and in this game of fine margins with big ego players, I hope Rodgers will unlock some of the treasure boxes that Puel has already brought here and take us to another level. One last comment before handing over to you for your thoughts, I personally would like Diabate to stay. I thought he was actually quite good. I hope Rodgers give him a chance. Thoughts?
  15. I agree with Jonny and everyone else https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-duty-set-ambitious-3210087 We need to be ambitious. We also need to show it on the pitch, with a strong winning mentality and urge to win, unlike once again how Chilwell slowly brings the ball up with no sense of urgency at the end of the last game (and similarly in previous games). We may not win, but we need to play like we really want to win, like Vardy and Schmeichel (and Fuchs when he plays) always do.
  16. Agree. I hope though Barnes starts instead of Hamza and possibly Praet starts instead of Maddison.
  17. Oh dear. I am not the biggest fan of Maddison’s, but surely you are not suggesting that Ndidi is a better passer of the ball than Maddison or close to him?? Apparently, based on the stats for the last game, Ndidi is a better passer than Messi! Wow.
  18. Yeah. Agree. A problem we have since Kante left. Obviously, even Rodgers thinks Ndidi is just too good of a tackler to leave out but just like Puel is trying to solve the problem of him being very poor technically on the ball, so he tries to supplement him with Hamza perhaps. I dont know, but I suspect he wouldnt play 2 DMs if Ndidi is a better passer of the ball.
  19. I think Hamza was meant to operate much further forward to press high but also to go back to help Ndidi out with possession once Ndidi wins the ball back. I suppose Maddison or Tielemans can do that too but this would restrict their freedom up front. If Rodgers want to continue to play that tactically, perhaps he can also try Silva or Praet?
  20. My preferred lineup which will surely be different to Rodgers: Schmeichel Pereira Soyuncu Evans Fuchs Albrighton Ndidi Tielemans Barnes Perez Vardy Subs: Ward, Chilwell, Amartey, Maddison, Hamza, Praet, Nachos
  21. Ricardo was flying down the right wing constantly with purpose ...
  22. Yeah, agree. Having confidence is good but just need some self recognition ...
  23. Only one person takes them - Maddison - so yes he needs to work on them but he has been taking them since last year so he needs let someone else a go. Also I said this a few days ago (and many time previously): “I hope (Praet) he can come in and play instead of Madders. Madders is good but not great. He can do with more competition. Madders is too wasteful with his corner and free kicks so it would also be good for others to take a turn (eg. Barnes and Albrington).” Got shot down massively, but perhaps we should take a look again. I would get Barnes and Albrington back in and would drop Hamza and Maddison/Perez for the next game. Trust though Rodgers know what he is doing.
  24. I got shot down massively here saying this just a few days ago. He needs dropping and to come back later with improvements.
  25. He has been awesome today
