  1. Absolutely first class. He is way better than Chilwell. Clearly the best player on the pitch today for us. Next would be Hamza.
  2. I can’t say that is correct. I am equally frustrated, but I thought the second half looked a bit more like our old selves with aggression, directness and quickness. The problem is that we still had Ndidi being a liability while only having Vardy upfront alone for a long time until Nachos came on (and he created the chance that nearly got Vardy scoring). Puel needs to wake up to the fact that Gray cannot play striker and that Vardy needs support. Ghezzal playing instead of Maddison was a massive improvementand I would instead have Ghezzal play instead of Ndidi. Regardless, he needs to drop Ndidi in any event. He does nothing attacking wise, his volleys are selfish as he has zero chance of getting them on target, his touches are worst than league 2 players, his dribbling is atrocious, his passing is non existent. Ghezzal looked ok on defense as well - better than Mahrez at least. Yes, that can be dangerous for our defense overall and so I would use Evans instead of MacGuire who does a better job cleaning up defensively with Morgan than MacGuire.
  3. I feel for Nacho. He is a great finisher and clinical. He is just not suited to be a holding man or lone striker. He needs to play off another upfront and he does his job best when he can just pounce on a scoring opportunity with little time for others to react. He can also do killer passes in short bursts. You see it in his plays including when he was at Man City. Puel is not playing to his strength.
  4. Passing accuracy % does not fully tell his lack of ability in this area. He often over hits or under hit his passes. He often pass the ball behind a forward running player. His teammates in those situations can still get to the ball, but the placement of the pass means the team has lost out a good attacking moment. So the passing % is higher than it should be. And unfortunately, when you often only have a few good chances in a game, given his central position, it means he disrupts the whole creative flow of the team substantially. Not only that, he doesn’t get himself into good position for the good small passes to get his teammates out of trouble or to allow a creative team movement to continue. Mendy, Iborra and even Silva do a much better job. In fact, I am impressed with Mendy and Iborra in this department. I don’t know what it is. Puel can see him day in day out in training. It seems to me it is a combination of lack of technique and lack of composure. From time to time, he does show that he can see the good pass in his head by making the right pass, just that the result often eludes him - eg, how he overhits to pass to Albrington in the last game for a golden opportunity. With Mendy in the team, I feel his defensive ability can be sacrificed for someone more creative - unless we face a strong side where we need more defensive cover. Otherwise, it is hard for me to see how we can go back to the days in our title winning season when we averaged more than 10-15 shots on goal easily even with very little possession.

  6. Oh ... then I hope it will be Morgan and Soyuncu.
  7. That is most likely, but I really want to see Iborra instead of Ndidi and see what happens. I would stick with Evans and Morgan, but please don’t drop Evans who deserve to have a run in the side.
  8. This is why Fuchs is wasted. He actually supports our previous direct football well. He is a decent crosser of the ball from distance. Now we slowly build up and allow opposition to sit back. To break things down in this way, you need world class players like Man City to consistently break teams down. Unfortunately, while we have a good team, we don’t apart from IMO Vardy.
  9. Puel wants us to play more like Man City when we should aim more towards Liverpool. Suits our players better.
  10. It was a shame to leave straight after you win the EPL in a miracle season. I agree. At least Mahrez stuck around. And of course, Vardy, what a legend. He could have double his earnings elsewhere.
  11. I think he is better than people generally give him credit for. He plays simple direct football from midfield - exactly what Vardy wants. He slotted straight into Swansea when on loan last season. You don’t do that as a loanee unless someone sees something in you, even if you are playing for a team that was going to get relegated. He needs to move on but we need to make him an ambassador one day. He is a legend for Leicester City. He was there from the beginning of our amazing story.
  12. Just wondering. If Kante did not leave and stuck around for one more season, what would have happened?
  13. Ndidi was ok, but Ricardo and Albrington were the engine for chances in the second half. Nacho played well as well and obviously Vardy did fantastically well as, IMO, usual.
  14. Vardy never really left. He just didn’t have much service in previous games. Here, we had to play more direct, and it worked as it suits Vardy much more. Also, Albrington and Ricardo both played excellent direct football. Remember that Albrington didn’t play much until recent games, which coincided with improved form from Vardy.
  15. Could have even won. Congrats boys. If only Ndidi hit that ball harder for Albrington, Albrington could have crossed that ball 1 second earlier for Vardy. Anyway, well done, but disappointed yet again at how we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with red cards and wrong team selection.
  16. Wow. Could have even won the match. Well done lads.
  17. We have an unbelievably deep squad. Think about Barnes, Diabate, Slimani, Ghezzal, Silva, King, Hazzy ... none of them are even on the bench. Yet, we struggle to put players on the pitch.
  18. Agree. Would have been good if we have Slimani on the bench now to replace Okazaki with. Just when you need a big man.
  19. Agree
  20. I almost want him to get his second yellow.
  21. Feel sorry for Iborra. Finally getting into the side and then got injured. Ndidi deserves a kick up the backside and be benched but now he is back and not learnt his lesson. Where is Silva (poor man)? Where is Diabate? Not seen anywhere near the senior side. We need to move Gray inside more in the first half and push both Chilwell and Ricardo up. Ndidi should stay with Morgan and Evans almost as a back three. That is: 3-5-1.
  22. Well done lads. Thank you. Thank you for doing it for Kuhn Vichai. He did so much for so many. Thank you.
  23. What was Morgan doing?
