Just saw the highlights for Leeds vs Blackburn. We should not get complacent just because they lost. We have a proven track record of choking first of all. Secondly, when you watch the highlights, there were so many clear cut chances for Leeds. If you watch the highlights for the last game, you can hardly get enough for 30 seconds. So I am still very concerned, especially with our sideways football having been found out already.

100%. Our lone striker is getting no service. Nacho is a good connecting man. And we need to have 2 strikers anyway. Enzo must change to win.

For me, Enzo is not too bad in that regard. To keep happy so many players who are better than the Championship to stick around and fight here with us in the Championship, that is not a bad effort. I have nothing against Enzo on that and I don’t think the fans should overshoot their criticism of the manager for this. It is more just his tactics and team selection that are proving to be a big annoyance and showing the limitations of Enzo as a manager. This is why if we get promoted, I would be happy to give him another 6 months. But what I fear the most meanwhile is that his stubbornness and his risk averse attitude to team selection are going to cost us. I don’t understand why for example he can’t get Coady on the pitch instead of Faes. Even if he really likes Faes for some reason, surely he can rotate the squad a bit. It is not like Faes has been rock solid - he has been making mistakes after mistakes.

I said before the game go gun ho and put two strikers on from the start. That didn’t happen at any stage of the game even when we were chasing.

Enzo still says we played well and created chances. What chances? Our chances are hardly threatening much of the times.

It is not the players this time. I think the players tried. They wanted to win. You can see. But they are hampered by the team selection and tactic. As it turns out, Enzo’s tactics is too one dimensional. He is a one trick pony. His only tactic was to stretch the pitch by playing out from the back and having his CBs passing around to draw the opponents in. However, that has now gone to pieces because we have been figured out and we have no answer because we don’t have a plan B. We now just keep passing to the side for the winger to try to cross from the side. Rinse repeat. He puts players without creativity in the middle and hence the channel through the middle is ineffective. KDH is the best of all, but he is too rough around the edges and too inconsistent to play that role. Maybe he is too tired. But Maresca does not change his personnel at all. He could do with Nacho stepping in there (by the way still play a striker). With the same personnel, Maresca seems to have also asked his team to do more long balls. But they are from players who are not the best at it. Albrighton is but he is no where near the squad. And players are tired but the same old is repeating. Yet with such a big squad for Championship standards, Marseca makes zero change whatsoever. I remember he said at the beginning of the season that the season is long and he would need all his players. Faes clearly needs to be benched but he does not start Coady. Fatawu has been subpar but he does not even include Albrighton in his match day squad. We need to change things a bit by having more players in the box but yet he persists with a lone striker (Vardy hardly touched the ball yesterday). The more important the games, the more Enzo’s true character is revealed. Conservative and unwilling to mix things up.

By the way, despite throwing “everything” at it, we only had 4 shots on target. Not really the Man City we thought we would be in the Championship against basically a League One side.

We don’t have a single creative player on the pitch when we could have at least Nacho there but he was left out. When two strikers are called for, he didn’t make the change. Players are tired and KDH has been ineffective for a long while, no change. When all we do is crossing into the box, he left our best crosser in Albrighton out of the squad. We don’t even have anyone to aim for in corners because both Faes and Vesty are crap at heading the ball. Souttar is not in the squad while Coady is not given a chance despite Faes being poor. It is unbelievable that there was no change at all in sub or tactic in the last 20-30 mins. Just the same old same old. Enzo has shown to just be a very limited manager.
