  1. Should have taken Hamza out for Justin.
  2. Crazy sub. Why take Mavididi out?
  3. Vesty again has shown he is not Premier League quality. Got turned so easily. Slow.
  4. Coady is better for this game. Vesty will get beat for pace the whole game. Doyle is really poor this game too.
  5. Doyle has been poor whole game. He is also largely responsible for the second goal. He was ahead of his runner but then got outpaced. Inexcusable. Doyle out for Justin.
  6. We still have way more proven Premier League quality players and internationals than all other teams, including Leeds and Southampton. Ndidi KDH Winks Coady (PL player not even in starting five) Vardy (and still rotating for us only) Nacho (and still rotating for us only) Daka (and still rotating for us only) Faes Vesty (ok, we thought he was crap seasons before) Justin Praet (though he keeps getting injured) Souttar Albrighton Yunas (he is a Turkey international in case we forget) Then you also have some borderline ones that other teams would love to have like: Hamza Fatawu Mavididi Doyle PS. Yes we had a massive exodus end of last season and even with that we still have the above, so the other point that we should not have come down remains valid.
  7. We have the best squad in the Championship. Many thought with our squad we should not have even come down. In any event, with our squad we should really be smashing it. We were expecting to win against Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the season too, but we didn’t. And also a number of other games. Ipswich’s squad is worth 1/10 as ours and much of it is the same from League One. What it has come down to is their manager, their style of play and yes them punching above their weight. We have to stop making excuses for ourselves, just like what we did last season, or the seasons before when we bottled. Just look at our squad and compare it to other teams in the Championship. We only have ourselves to blame when we keep giving ourselves excuses and keep creating a weak mentality. Why do we need to game manage when we are 1-0 up against say Rottenham. This created the weak bottlers mentality. This is all down to us fearing to play freely and positively. It may not manifest itself earlier in the season as our players are way way better than others, but after half of year of the same drill even they are now frailing. This is all down to the manager. I am not asking for him to go, but Enzo better sort this out. Stop fearing and play!
  8. Yet when you watch them play they play with more attacking intent and more intensity going forward than us, with a squad that is near the same as what they had in League One and is worth some 1/10 of the value of our squad.
  9. Ipswich smashed 6 past Sheffield Wednesday. Something we can only dream of doing this season given the weak mentality we have created of always wanting to game manage after we are in the lead.
  10. I think he can quite easily be a starter in most Championship teams or even a team like Burnley, Luton or Wolves in the Premier League. There are not many who can cross better than Albrighton can while running with the ball.
  11. Why not? Hamza does it too but he can’t make those early crosses like Albrighton can. Also, if he does not play right back, then it is hard to find a spot elsewhere. I can’t imagine he plays in front of our two wingers at the moment.
  12. This is overblown. Leicester has not breached any rule yet. Just that it is projected to by seasons end and we do not wish to comply with the Championship rule that says you need to provide a business plan about how it will be complied with. The club says it is not required to because of the fact that we were in the PL and so the rule does not apply to us. However, prospectively, it is looking like that if we do not get promoted, we will be forced to massively reduce our wage bill and sell even more players than we like. This means that we could do a Sunderland and linger in the Championship or even drop into League One. So this is it. If we massively drop the ball again and don’t get promoted, our Premier League quality squad would be replaced completely by Championship / League One players. If we struggle to get up even with a Premier League squad, imagine what it would be like without it!
  13. Exactly what I said in another thread but I got laughed at!
  14. I think you are saying that we are simply not set up well attacking wise. We have become easy to defend against. We don’t help ourselves as we keep passing backwards to allow the opposition to settle when they are out of shape.
  15. Doesn’t feel good. Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich all in good form and love to go forward. We need to mix it up attacking wise. We are now too predictable. The best we have to help do that is Albrighton with his quick releases. He should start at RB if Ricardo is not fit or regularly come on for Mavididi.
  16. We just need to try to attack more and be more adventurous. We are playing in the Championship not the Premier League. Throw ultra caution and risk minimisation to the wind and watch us grow in confidence.
  17. Same as every other team while we have the biggest budget and arguably the best squad in the Championship. We really don’t have any excuse in this regard.
  18. Exactly what I have been saying. But this on Enzo. He is the one who instilled the hesitancy and fear into the players. For the players to go back to the free flowing football you are talking about, they need Enzo to tell them “don't worry just play your football and have fun” and not Enzo to tell scold them when they take a shot or make a 50/50 forward pass.
  19. To be honest we have never really looked like we have a second gear. “Earlier in the season” we were hardly smashing teams. We always seem to be reliant on other teams making their own mistakes or not being able to take advantage of ours, while we slowly walk towards the finishing line. But at least in the first half of the season, we had more variety to our play. Now the players have been over coached to pass backwards instead of attempting a shot or taking risks. Not quite Rodgers but we are starting to do similar things as Rodgers did with mentality - making us fear and weak. I mentioned this months ago and no one paid attention. Mentality is long term and you see this develops over time. This is now a test for Enzo as a young coach. Hope he can overcome fear himself.
  20. If we don’t want to be “terrible” then please do not do “game management”. It is the exact reason why we are terrible and develop a loser mentality.
  21. It is not. Simply, this is part of a long term trend. We are now becoming too predictable and too slow. We constantly let QPR settle when we attack. QPR succeeded in their low block because of us. We just pass pass and pass backwards to give them plenty of time to settle.
  22. I said it before many many times and I say again. If you keep defending leads when you are in front or even just take the foot off the pedal and pass back instead of forward when you are winning, this is a recipe for bottling and a weak mentality. I said it many times before, do not try to have the mindset of “game manage” unless you are Messi. Go go go all the time.
  23. Not to mention this time we have a massive advantage in the quality of our squad and money available to us. We have no excuse this time. I mean losing to QPR is quite different to losing to any team in the Premier League.
