  1. No, you are right, I wasn’t pro-Cooper too (I was though asking for more time for Cooper to let him sort things out though). Perhaps a bit overdone with my comment, which I admit, as I am a bit drunk in my disappointment at losing 7 in a row … Dont get me wrong though, I am not asking for change now to RVN. I think we just need stability there and we need to keep supporting them.
  2. Yeah, it is sad it seems like only they cared. Maybe Winks and Vardy too. Very impressed with Bilal and Soumare. They worked their socks off, but the rest just couldn’t cope.
  3. Before RVN, we looked like a good mid table side not winning as much as we should have (individual mistakes costed us quite a few points). But fans wanted Cooper gone, and encouraged a toxic atmosphere. With FFP, we had to be careful what we wished for. When we were around 16, I thought we can do better hence I admit to having some frustration in my mind. But now we just look like a clueless Championship side.
  4. Can’t believe fans are writing him off. He doesn’t play left winger.
  5. Agree. But the no. 1 culprit is Justin, again. How many crosses has he allowed this game, and every game? He really can’t defend. What happened to the Justin we know from the time he was playing LB for us years ago.
  6. No, before the cross. Justin should have closed down on the cross.
  7. This is 100% Justin!! Stood too far back, ONCE again, from the crosser! I was cursing him before the cross!
  8. WtF? Why are we talking off our best player????? Bilal was defending and creating? WtF?
  9. Stop fouling Vardy and please stay onside.
  10. Just support the team guys. We need to support them. Many booed Cooper, but he wasn’t that bad afterall. We always looked like we were in games and could score points. We were just let down by individual mistakes, Faes in particular. Anyway, let’s support the guys.
  11. No cutting edge. It looks shaky at the back. Feels like we are always going to concede. Cooper’s defensive was more solid - it was just that individual mistakes kept coming. Attacking wise, we need to cut out these random high balls. A few is fine but there are too many of these. Need a massive change in attitude at HT.
  12. We are having a tough period but I think it is unfair to blame this on the Board/owners. They tried: - They have been losing money, year after year. Would you lose so much money for the Club? Would the Glazers at Man Utd lose so much money? - They have tried to fund the Club to propel the team to be a regular top 6. We spent a lot of money on good players. Think about the squad we had when it peaked (when we had Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Ndidi, Fofana, Perez, Soumare, Castagne, etc). Thinking back, it was awesome team. We had two fifth place finishes (we should have done so much better though if not for Rodgers). Then bad luck hits - Fofana being injured was the worst as we then panicked and got Vesty (only for Rodgers not to use him). Then we had Rodgers whom admittedly the Board/owner stuck with too long. - Sticking with Rodgers for so long was their fatal mistake. But everyone makes mistakes. Unfortunately, Rodgers wasted so much money on players (most of the players he used were not his purchases) and choked when we should have finished in the CL places we were then becoming to get stuck with the FFP rules. It went downhill from there once we are in the FFP trap. The lower you finish (or relegated) the more it punishes you. - It is the FFP rules that we are trapped with, created to bash clubs like ours down if we dare tried too hard (and fail).
  13. Obviously disappointing but also get behind the lads and RVN. First half: Everyone was saying it was the best performance of the season. Two defensive lapses yes and we were down 2-0. We have a lot of problems, but we have potential. Just need to get it all right very soon.
  14. I don’t know if it is something RVN can ever teach, but while we are playing well in patches, the biggest problem we have attacking wise is that our final balls/decisions are just not good enough. These are professional players, but: - crosses from Justin and Kristiansen are often behind the attacking line. - Mavididi constantly ignores a better pass either to the player overlapping or a runner in the middle. There were a few times yesterday when he ignored Vardy’s run or Bouneuettte in open space while just taking time to think about his dribbling. Moments he wasted. Bilal is the best we have in this regard so he should be held out as the model player. - Vardy keeps staying in offside position resulting in his teammates not being able to pass to him and it then stops the flow of play - can’t he just stay on side? We look nice in the first half but it was frustrating to see the final ball not coming through right. But these are professional players??
  15. Yeah there is too much bias against Cooper here. We couldn’t spend too much money and Cooper was just being practical. At least we were always there and abouts in games and picked up points along the way. Then us fans undermined him fanning the players to do the same. If Cooper is still in charge we are probably still around 16.
  16. We had one of the best squads in the league. Then Rodgers ruined it all and the club allowed it to happen. Contract management was in parallel very poor leaving us with millions of pounds worth of players walking away for free. The Tielemans saga was the start. We gave massive contracts to average players like Ward, Hamza and we couldn’t get rid of them since.
  17. Yeah. Cooper was pragmatic but he just wasn’t allowed to take the reins without being undermined by fans and players.
  18. For all the effort, we just don’t have the quality in the final third.
  19. Relegate us now.
  20. Yeah, all Palace needs is just a goal on a break. I worry about Faes’ occasional laziness. Quite a few times he is just casually walking back to the backline with Vesty, leaving a huge gap behind him which Palace can take advantage of if there is a mistake / turnover. He is really on the edge of making a brain fart - I hope not. RVN needs to remind him to stay focused.
  21. Yeah. He has been off for a few years now. Just not as prolific. But I wonder why. Normally you may lose a bit of pace and acceleration with age, but not how you shoot.
  22. Yeah. Imagine what RVN can do with him.
  23. Good build ups but poor decision making in the final third. Mavididi should have passed a few times but didn’t. Vardy also. We must improve in that department if we want to get a goal.
  24. He played for Parma all season bar one game where he was suspended. So, my question is, why would Parma sell him mid-season for only 3m? Is there some massive sell-on clause?
  25. Not sure of some of the adverse comments on him here. We were lucky to get him last season in the Championship and given the state of our squad we should be thankful he is still here. He seems to be a guy who cares (although I would say he overstepped the line when allegedly he helped to get Cooper sacked), enjoys being at the Club and wants the club to do well. Players with that emotional attachment are special. I am sure he will turn the corner.
