Tough game

We are in deep trouble. Losing Maresca was worth more than a 10 mil compensation from Chelsea. Losing him at that juncture is now costing us a place in the PL next season.

Not looking good for us I am afraid. Can’t see Man U being relegated. No matter how crap they are, they are still miles better and have loads more money to throw at this to fix their problems. Everton seems to always scrap through but they are an outside chance to compete with us in this respect. Then if you think there is no chance Wolves and Palace will go down, then we are really in the hot seat to be relegated. But then again we got relegated with a much better squad than Wolves and Palace have, so who knows. We really need to start picking up points though and worry about that first.

We need Southampton to do us a favour and at least draw with Palace please. Otherwise Palace is really getting away.

Excellent performance. Two lapses of concentration - and Man City were just clinical. The second one killed it for me and I put Hamza as being responsible for standing too far away from the crosser. Vardy was uncharacteristically poor in decision making. Could have scored but he didn’t. Soumare, Winks, Bilal, Bounouette, Vesty, Kristiansen all played well but the standout was Bilal. Soumare was impressive as well. Good to see Alves on but he didn’t have time to do anything. (Still pissed he had to sit out for a year because of that Wolves idiot). We are now in deep trouble but on this performance we have a chance to climb back up. But with Wolves getting better and Palace is still too strong of a team to go down, it would be difficult.

Hamza stood too far away from the crosser! I blame Hamza for this second goal.

Vardy had a few chances today which he didn’t take advantage of! Daka could have scored the last one! Good to see Justin come off!

Don’t really care about them looking sad. It is a good time to play them given their slump, and we need to take advantage. Don’t let them use us as springboard to bounce back which we all know they are more than capable of.

Agree he is not Winks’ level yet but he is young and has potential. He is better defensively too. No need to write him off just yet.

He poses more threat than Reid but Reid is better at moving forward and into good positions. Mavididi wasted a few good moves due to his poor decisions.

Excellent performance considering how poor we have been. It goes to show the importance of having ballers in the team who can beat the press. Winks, Vesty, Soumare, Bilal and Bounoette have been excellent. We can’t play like this if we have Ndidi, Hamza and arguably also Ayew (who goes down too often) in the team. The weak link has to be Justin and to some extent Mavididi with his poor decision making (passing backwards a few times when he should have passed forward - wasting a few chances in the process). But overall we deserve to be at least on a draw going into half time. Winks (Skipp if Winks is unavailable) and Soumare have to be the central midfield partnership from now on.

Agree, though it was bad that we lost 3-0 to Wolves last week. Now they are out of the relegation zone with another win over Man Utd.

Losing Fatawu was monumental. He is the only guy with pace in the wide areas.
