Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official
J@mes1982 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've been very supportive of Ayew, even when others have been highly critical. However, yesterday his attitude and aptitude was absolutely honking, right from the very first whistle. It's obvious Ruud has concerns over Stephy's defensive capabilities especially early in matches, so went with Ayew yesterday, who gave us nothing defensively. Was either jogging or limping around the first 45, and it looked like he couldn't be arsed. I lost count the amount of times Lamptey came in on his left foot even before the goal, and he let the same thing happen time and time again. The introduction of Stephy was vital, as with most modern day full backs and Lamptey is one of those, great going forwards but when it comes to actually do what they are supposed to they go the pieces, very obvious but working on attack being the best form of defensive there was no need for anybody to worry about Stephy's defensive capabilities as he just pinned Lamptey back in his own half. Personally Stephy and DCR have to come into the starting line up on the weekend, I'm just gutted with Abdul's injury, as in this system he would have absolutely flourished. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
J@mes1982 replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Went to watch Lille v Monaco a few weeks ago and this lad stuck out like a sore thumb, quality footballer. I must stress he is not Mahrez or me saying he is, but he ghosted passed players just like he did. If this boy had lightning pace he'd be £40 - £50 million plus. According to Liarpedia, was bought for 7 million euros in January 2022 and that was an absolute steal. I said to my daughter wouldn't mind seeing him in a Leicester shirt one day, but I 100% believe he'll be playing football in England come next January or August. -
Thanks mate, got this to work, the add calendar button wouldn't work for me.
-
Thanks mate, tried that one but with Google being very American 'Football' is American Football and there is no option for 'Soccer'

Not overly tech savvy, but I have had a new phone and I'm having difficulty getting our fixtures input into my calendar either through the club website or Sky Sports? Does anybody have any ideas? Previously I remember clicking a button and it all just appeared.

We submitted as members yesterday, there is 4 of us with the lowest being my daughter on 41 points. I'm sure we'll be fine at that, we have a 13 and 11 year old in our four so will be hoping to get something in P2 which is where we mostly sit and have always been able to get 4 tickets in a row. -
Can anybody recommend a good one? Daughter wants a Dortmund shirt and not paying Pumas prices for one.

If you applied as a group and you all have different points, your place in the queue is based on the lowest points amount from within your group, for example Adult 60 and Child 20, it is based on 20 points. -

Me and the old man are on 45, so hopeful. Our main problem is my daughter and nephew who sit on 31. It's hard to know what to do as we know we can get a ticket to every league game we want to go to by being members, and my daughter can't make every game. -
I was just wondering, people who secured season tickets for this season from a membership, what points level did you have on your membership to enable you to do that? I know there is a few factors involved.

****YOUR SUPPORT FOR COALVILLE TOWN IS NEEDED****
J@mes1982 replied to Gary Eatfood's topic in Leicester City Forum
Brilliant night last night, can't wait until Monday now. Ty was fantastic last night, came to the club with Billy and Timmy clear first choice strikers, but wrote himself into CTFC history last night. Rushall were petrified of his pace and power all night long. Special mention also to Jake Eggleton (number 4) literally headed and kicked everything last night, he's been injured recently and he makes such an impact to the back four. Joe Doyle-Charles (number 8) plays right on the edge, every minute of every game and collects yellows and reds for fun, but the guy is the driving force in this side, and is an old school combative central midfielder. When he got a soft yellow early on I got a bit worried, but just love watching him play. Special mention to the gaffer Stevo, he has worked wonders since coming back to Coalville. The guy is a legend of the club/town, you won't see a more passionate Manager anywhere and is so respectful and thankful to the fans. Please go and watch his after match interviews on Youtube, always very honest be good or bad and sometimes very comical. More than capable of going to Peterborough and getting a result, they lost 2-0 at Peterborough in the league and earlier in the season they were 2-0 down at home after being blizted in the first 15, however they fought back to win 6-2 to win in one of the best football matches I've seen. -
I need to convince myself on the following, wouldn't even bother with a hotel. Would go from the airport to the ticket collection (if any) then after the game back to Termi, train to the airport. Thursday 4th May 7.20am Stansted to Billund (Denmark) Billund to Rome land 3.40pm Thursday 5th May 6.25am Rome to Mahon (Menorca) to Luton arrive 11.35am

Timmy will be a huge miss if he's not fit, was also good to see that Jake Eggleton got minutes on Saturday as he is vital to the back four. I thought we were dreadful on New Years Day at Rushall when we lost 5-1, that coming off another loss away at Barwell on the 27th December. Although two losses on the bounce both played on plastic pitches so ready into that as you will! Rushall at home suits far better than Rushall away, and I can't see anything other than a Ravens wins. As Stevo the gaffer says Coalville is 'just a bus stop in Leicester' and when you look at some of the teams in the division (I accept some are phoenix clubs) Tamworth, Rushden & Diamonds, Nuneaton Borough, Hednesford all big ex Conference clubs, what Coalville have achieved this season is fantastic. -

I'm a season ticket holder at CTFC and its best £150 spent on football in a long while. Been a fantastic season for the Ravens and throughly enjoyed it. Buzzing for Tuesday night just as much as Thursday. We're black we're white, we're f****** dynamite! -
Like many others, I am in the camp of he will leave at some point, the boy is that good. To do what he is doing after that horrific injury and following his religious beliefs is nothing short of monumental. We are just going to enjoy it while he is here, he is a pleasure to watch play the game of football. Makes things look so simple and effortless, I really just hope if the day does come where he moves on, he leaves as hero not a villan.

PSV (A) 14 April | UECL quarter final 2nd leg
J@mes1982 replied to Koke's topic in Leicester City Forum
I really hope we get on the front foot tonight and play to score rather than playing not to concede. I appreciate our situation is different to that of Chelsea's on Tuesday night, but there is a prime example of 'getting at' a European side, and then look at last night where a Man City went cautious against those cheating b******* Athleti (sorry I still can't let 97' go) and they made it hard work for themselves. -
I thought it was a terrific performance by the team last night, across the 90 minutes. Fair play to Rennes for the first 20 minutes they were great value and it was nice to see a European side come and initially give it a go. The angling runs they made to force Dan and Cags to constantly play wide was impressive and by doing that they boxed us in and the touchline became essentially an extra defender for them, limiting space and making it extremely difficult to play out as they set up as 4-4-2 with full backs pushed very high, against our midfield 3. The turning point for me was after about 25 minutes and we finally broke that pressure with Albrighton carrying the ball a good 50-60 yards. No side in the world can play like for 90 minutes and we were always going to get chances, but we just needed to be patient. This is now where I get shutdown, but a large proportion of our fan base want is to constantly play football at 100 miles an hour and every ball has to go forward. If we did that last night with Daka it simply wouldn't have worked as he was constantly isolated on his own due to the way Rennes set up, which really pushed our midfield back towards our back four. You can play it quick but the distance between the midfield and attack has to be closer, which is what essentially happened once Rennes started to run out of gas. Tactics for me who is very much Rodgers in, spot on last night.

Wolves away Carabao Cup 0-0 (City win 3-1 on pens) Post Match
J@mes1982 replied to Vacamion's topic in Leicester City Forum
For me Iborra has to play at the weekend, as much as Mendy and Ndidi have played well they offer nothing in terms of creativity from the midfield. Iborra is classy, clearly has a football brain and you can see from all the years in a very good offensive team like Sevilla he's comfortable. His movement off the ball to create space and offer an option is the best in this squad by a country mile. Yes, he makes mistakes and gives the ball away, but he is constantly looking to move the ball forwards, and when you play that way it will happen, I here all the time about the team playing sideways and backwards, someone like Iborra comes in offers what people want and then moan he gives the ball away. Offers so much in the air in the oponents and our own box, and not scared to try from distance as proven last night.
