Anyone can walk away, even if Chansiri doesn’t accept his resignation. It just means he won’t be entitled to any of his severance. He naturally wants it, but he wants to go as well. It appears we’re happy to pay the severance, which is less than the compensation, hence the sticking point.

Rohl has indicated he will walk anyway… he’s made that clear to Chansiri.

He is negotiating his exit….. he wants to leave and I think the likely scenario is we pay the exit fee, which is around £1m at this moment. He’s willing to walk out as he’s already told the ownership he isn’t coming back.

There’s absolutely no chance at all Rohl will take a role as assistant coach, not after two years plus as a head coach. Why take such a gamble? If Andrews was to get sacked, he could get sacked too and then tarnish his reputation. He will want a top job. The issue we’ve got is Sheffield Wednesday are being added with the compensation. If that’s been resolved that remains to be seen, but Rohl won’t be going Brentford as a number 2.
