A name Im thinking is Mark Cuban. As a follower of the Mavericks, it appears that he is looking to invest in English football, and it’s not unrealistic to suggest he and Boehly could head up the consortium. It’s also worth noting that £200m is reasonable in the eyes of US investors. So it’s not as mad as we might think.

It makes sense….. the US market is heavily investing in English football, and we’re somewhat of a famous name there now within the sports world, we’ve got the blueprint for a much bigger operation than the likes of Wrexham and Birmingham City, and if we get turned around it’s another amazing story……. It’s more likely an American investor takes us over, and it might be a fairly easy move for a consortium led by Todd, plus he’s not shy throwing money around, so he may feel like this is a good opportunity for him and another. There also plenty of NFL and NBA franchise owners sniffing around English football, so there’s a very strong chance someone else is interested and has approach Todd to form part of the consortium.

I know a fair few Burton fans due to where I live. All of which predict they will finish bottom. They’re in right state, so we should beat them…….

USA sporting franchises make money. The problem is translating it to English football, which they seem to struggle to do, but I think we would be a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring US owner….. there’s a blueprint to do what they want…. The opportunity to grow the “franchise” is there, and it’s much easier to plow money into the club at this level. What we need is someone to take the opportunity to grow the club, deliver what KP wanted to but evidently couldn’t. Build the indoor arena “bring over a bit of B’ball” build the hotels and potential avenues for growth, off the field….. Just need someone to see that vision. And the US market is likely because as I said, they love a Cinderella story, and I think they will still buy into that with us and feel it’s worth a risk. Wrexham’s story is probably going to assist us a bit too.

Interesting……. Think will be an American owner who buys us. Above said I think they’re more likely to pay the asking price over a Middle Eastern consortium who are notoriously difficult to negotiate with.

Can you own more than one team in England? Just if there is anything in these Teddy Bowlhead rumours? I hope Cam Skattebo and Jaxon Dart co-own us, and run us like they play their football.

I don’t think it’s a genuine case people want him gone after a game. I think there’s a large portion of the fanbase who didn’t want him to begin with (I was one), and subsequently can’t see it improving. I don’t think it will personally, I think we will be getting what we saw against Notts week in week out. Like I’ve said, it’s not his fault, he knows how he wants to play, and it just doesn’t suit this team. But fail to win on Saturday and the pressure is well and truly on. No excuses for a team that has one player worth the entire of Burton more or less.

I think we will end up close to the bottom at some point I can’t see us winning a game at the moment, we’ve essentially the same problem as last season, we can’t score goals and we can’t keep clean sheets…….. we will draw quite a lot of games between now and the winter starting…

I think we will end up with US owner. They’re probably the only people willing to take the risk…. Especially with Wrexham and Birmingham being taken over…… we’re still a great pin up for a business and they love a Cinderella story in the states….. Bring on the Leicester blue foxes!

We’ve got over £100m worth of physical assets Seagrave alone is £190m…… £75m for the crisp bowl, £9m for BD. Plus the club itself, OHL and the massive debt we’re dragging around. Charlie M is talking from Sunderland’s perspective, who are small fry in comparison to what we have as baggage, so, I understand the fee, however, the fact we’re in league one impacts if we can command such a fee. KP would essentially be selling at a loss for any less I would imagine.

I imagine the message has come from within the King power group. I imagine that they’ve been told within that they’ve got to sell the club because they can’t afford to run it beyond this season.

Knowing how incompetent our board are they’ve probably accidentally advertised the club for sale for £240……..
