I’ve spent the morning on a long dog walk, just mulling over the moment this project nose dived. I don’t think there’s any coincidence that the running of the club significantly tailed off following the tragic loss of Kun Vichai. I think the club naively thought Rodgers was going to be here as a career manager, I think they had an idea to build the club around him, hence the like of Congers following him and giving Rodgers more control with the functioning of the club, particularly in the transfer market. Vards is a ****ing legend and the greatest player ever to play for us….. but he really should have said goodbye in the summer and gone off to Saudi or the states to earn himself a wedge until he retired.
